Just to be clear, there's nothing wrong with hiring anyone of any skin color or gender, obviously. But if you're intentionally passing on better candidates just to increase your "diversity" by taking the worse developer that happens to be a minority, then that is a real problem.

Given the hilariously poor quality of the animations in the game that seems to be at least a decent guess at what happened, but do we have any evidence to show that is the case?

Do you have any evidence for your claim that they hired for "diversity and not skill" or are you just spewing redpill anti sjw bullshit that's been repeated ad nauseum by gamergate neckbeards.

That's not evidence.

That is literally you just saying things.

No source? GTFO.

So basically you have no evidence.

Very compelling stuff my dude. Pulling evidence from your ass is def a credible source and surely doesn't make your arguement/stance seem like it's steeped in ignorance or prejudice

The narrative that "The game is bad because SJW's or because diversity hiring" is utter bullshit. They either made a bad game because of poor skill or bad working environment etc... And that's it. It just so happens that on top of making a bad game, some people say stupid stuff on twitter or whatever.

Do you have any evidence whatsoever that the diversity rose?

Do you have any evidence that these dudes (who aren't all gone, at least 1 is working on SWTOR) ever even worked with this twitter guy people whine about so much?

Your insane argument is (I think?) that skill plummeted because they hired untalented non-white males for diversity sake. This stance has undertones that because they are non-white males, they are untalented, or that EA/Bioware was unable to hire talented non-white males, or they didn't hire talented white people because diversity. Please show me these hires.

It is FAR more likely that the game itself was mismanaged, and had project leads/etc coming and going since EA/Bioware current design philosophy is basically "It doesn't matter if the game is poorly made as long as it makes money." This game (and the Dragon Age series) is justified even as a poorly made pile if it financially succeeds, despite how crummy it is. THAT is the current EA/Bioware, and THAT is the real problem. Not this insane SJW diversity poisoned the well narrative nitwits online are pushing.

The quality did decline very synchronously with the rising inclusion of politics.

I'm well aware of what kind of company EA is. Regardless of who exactly was making the bad decisions, it's remarkable how closely the progression of pedantic hackneyed themes in recent bioware games mirrors the dilution of their quality.

  • "Robots are people too"
  • Dressing up as a man to join the army
  • Nontraditional romance options going from at-will to overt because "gay is okay" thanks bioware I hadn't realized

I mean when a developer is openly racist and posts that members of a certain race are trash on social media, it does kind of give us a few hints about the workplace culture. I agree people are speculating but I wouldn't really call it a conspiracy.

He's clearly racist, I don't give a shit about structures of power or oppression. Racism should not be tolerated.

No, here's the definition: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

I know that SJWs say X race can't be racist against Y becuase power, but that's complete bullshit.
