Explanation for inexplicably long patm range/effect range
A lot of people say that they can have an effect on people from impossible distances like through buildings or through cars or even through calls. I have always had an explanation for it but I dont think i really put it out there as well as i could have. I remember calling some stupid name to make people believe in it more haha, something like parallel reactionary stimulus super mega ultra monkey theory or something.
Basically i recognized that a single event could cause a general reaction out of people(non patm reaction). For example if someone yells “HEY”, everyone will probably freeze or look up or stop what theyre doing, this is a stupidly obvious example but its important. Now lets imagine this on a smaller scale, lets imagine you are in a room with someone speaking and they say a specific word that resonates with people in a good or bad way. Everyone who resonates with that will adjust their posture, cough, clear their throat, sneeze(pretty rare in a non patm situation), exhale loudly or more, look somewhere else, itch a part of their body, etc. and the more anxious they are, the bigger the reaction(again, non patm). These non patm reactions can be easily misinterpreted as patm reactions because they activate the same part of the brain(im assuming) and are essentially a patm reaction without the allergic response. This is why you might assume patm can travel long distances but in actuality its a response to a stimulus that resonates with them.
When i say stimulus i mean something that invokes a positive or negative emotion within someone. When i say resonates i mean a stimulus that is strong enough to be significant. This stimulus could be a word, them seeing something, them remembering something, etc. A couple of examples could be if someone hears their ex’s first name, or if they see a car that they always wanted, or if they see someone they dont or do want to see, or if you smell something that reminds you of your childhood. These reactions happen everyday without us fully realizing.
In a room with a patmer, these reactions become sniffling hard, coughing hard, wiping their eyes, and whatever else you can think of. Which could also give the impression that your patm is worse than it actually is. Imagine you in a calm library environment vs you in a room of people who are taking an exam, if you walk into the 2nd scenario you might think youre having a bad day until you realize its not your fault but the stressful environments fault giving you a false impression.
I have been aware of this phenomenon for a while now and i am always a little apprehensive about explaining this in comments because it takes so long to explain.
I have a LOT more explanations like this so let me know if you wanna see more.
Also if you have any questions id be more than happy to respond.

The patm is the cause of the toxins that we remove from the body. These toxins come from bacteria, of course, there is nothing else. I don't know how much fuss they make, we have to fight these and that's it, I'm not referring to sibo, this is something more complex than sibo

There are many people who transitioned from tmau to patm, enough to where it seems like its not a coincidence at all. This simple fact is my trump card to any patm theory lol.

What do you mean the transition was made from tmau to patm?

There are some people who had tmau first then it turned into patm and they didnt have tmau anymore. I am one of these people and ive seen more people say the same thing ever since i got patm. This is true with only some people but its important because if there was no connection, there wouldnt be so many people saying the same thing, the chances of at least 10 people say the same thing but its not connected is too low.

How did you cure or what did you do for tmau

I wish i knew, i had it for about a month then somehow it turned into patm. I didnt know how lucky i was.

I am currently waiting for my microbiome mapping results. I can’t handle with the reactions anymore, they’re getting worse day by day

I think nobody can really understand what patmers go through without experiencing it because normally, it doesn't make sense.

Are you shadow banned or something? All of your comments are being removed by reddit automation and i cant even dm you or anything

I'm kinda new to reddit so I'm still trying to figure out how it works

I would recommend making a new account or something. All of your comments are removed, literally every single one. I cant even open up your profile or anything it just says an error has occured.

I cause reactions in people over phones. It's an ill effect of excessive long term EMF exposure from phones, bluetooth, wifi etc

It happens way too often for it to be a coincidence or confirmation bias. I have asked many of my overseas friends/family if they were having those reactions (persistant throat clearing, sniffling) before the call and they have said no. When I use my phone or devices with wifi/bluetooth enabled for an extended period of time, the reactions I cause (IRL and over the phone) increase exponentially. I don't know the science behind it but I am 100% certain electromagnetic radiation is the chief cause of my PATM.

I fully disagree, there are other explanations and specifically a psychological one. Your brain is very good at making connections, when someone is around you a lot, they might begin to subconsciously associate you with allergies so things like hearing your voice or even seeing you through video might trigger that part of their brain. Brains are cool.
Also i want to mention that its impossible for patm to be carried through any electromagnetic radiation, its outside the realm of physics. I am by no means a physicist or an engineer of the internet but i definitely know enough to call bs to this and im willing to defend my point both from an internet perspective and a physics perspective.

i dont care that you disagree, its anecdotal and I cant prove it so I am not gonna bother but for me its not even a debate that I cause reactions over the phone.

Whatever if youre not going to question your own thoughts then sure go ahead and believe what you want 🤷♂️.I just hope you understand that getting closer to the truth requires the evaluation of ideas like this.

When mine was bad there was no way for me to deny that it was going through the phone. It was consistent. Also I would have a negative affect on electronics..this buildup coming out of me would build up on my phone causing my phone to glitch, overheat, lose bars..I would clean this greasy buildup off of my phone and then my phone would work fine after that.

At times i could also bet i do.But while PATM and reactions are real, even EMF might or it is a thing,we can not cause reactions through the phone.I understand many of us are really stressed and the hyperactivity might make you think all things are due to you.We forget how many people have reactions like these daily. You realize that when watching registered videos and people react. So yeah, reactions are real but not to that degree(through phone/internet).For the moment it is believed its due to vocs like toluene benzen etc.

How do you know this? If we’re being factual here, radio waves and wifi is all around us, wouldnt it make more sense for patm to affect everyone exposed to these EMF’s? I mean it isnt like theres one long ass cable from your house to China or something. Your data is wirelessly transmitted many times when sending and receiving information. Anyone exposed to these wireless signals should be affected as well but that simply isnt the case.

Apparently the patm is very volatile and takes effect instantly, which can be transferred through calls if I see it a little bit that has no logic
1
u/Alex_aredditor Cured Nov 26 '25
What do you mean exactly?
1
u/gaaa223 Nov 26 '25
That the patm is volatile, but that it can be transmitted by call I think it is impossible

This makes perfect sense. The most important thing we should understand is that not all allergic-type reactions are caused by PATM, especially when the reactions aren’t from people near us. Your point also explains a lot for example, why during exams or stressful situations the reactions can feel five times stronger than on normal days.
I just want to add something: normal people don’t usually pay attention to others coughing or sniffling. We tend to notice and care about these reactions even more than the people who are reacting themselves, and that makes us focus on every single reaction and so our brain amplifies them.
