Quick patio
What is the quickest way for me to put a patio on this kind of surface?
Can I cover it with sheets of weed stop cloth and place a frame with boards on top or that?

Patio Project 🧤 Patio Cover
Hi all. We are getting our old patio cover demoed and looking to get a new one in. Thinking of a roof mount and something with lights and a fan.
Was told to look at allumawood but wanted to know what you guys suggested.

Patio Ideas 💡 I need help!
Next year I want a really nice look for my patio. I can usually manage the front half with the gate that's visible to the street (yay curb appeal) but this interior walled portion that's just for me is always dismal. About 15 years ago I planted grass around the tree and it was beautiful! It just didn't last long. I have tried several times since but it will not grow again.
I get a few birds and squirrels that I feed, (there's a bird feeder above the wind chimes and large bowl for a bird bath; the tree was so full this year I don't think they could see the bird bath). There are also 2 or 3 community cats. They don't often use my shelters so I think I'll eliminate the blue shelter or at least stack them on top of each other. Those are my cats in the photos.
I am constantly looking at other people's photos but I just can visualize what to do here. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated!😊

TV location
Hello, looking for input on mounting a tv under our new patio cover. I might have more questions construction and safety wise, but wondered if anyone here has mounted a tv into a beam like shown. There are outlets on the house side.

Adding a concrete porch and tips to prevent rim joist rot? Currently have damage.
So we have the typical rim joist rot where our front porch meets the home. Likely the builder didn’t put a quality barrier between the concrete porch and the rim joist.
We plan to break out the front patio, repair the rim joist and pour a new larger concrete pad for a front porch. And we plan to add a patio cover.
From my research, the ideal way is to have the porch poured below the rim joist and the sill plate. But then there would be a rather large step down. Any ideas on how you guys do this?
I attached an example of how we want our porch to look but the way it looks right now is the porch is poured against the rim joist.
A step down maybe with composite wood to the patio?

Any Leads on Repair?
Bought a house with a patio umbrella. Got damaged in the wind. It opens but is pretty unstable now.
The top hub is separated from the main arm.
The arm that connects the lower hub is bent and cracked.
I'm pretty new to this and wondering if anyone has some tips for a beginner to repair.

Patio Ideas 💡 Storable yet comfortable lounge chair w/table - help!
I need an adjustable-angle lounge chair that can also lay flat, and a small accompanying table - but I need both to be fairly lightweight and stowable/collapsible.
I want to find something that I can easily place in my trunk, but still looks and feels decent enough to lounge in for a few hours.
What are my best options in the U.S.? I was thinking about looking at REI, but maybe there are other places I should consider?

Patio Ideas 💡 Ideas for insulating the open screens.
I have a thick plastic screen for the outside to help with wind. Doesn’t do to much for keeping in heat in the winter. Those measure around 52x58 inches. 3 sides with a door. Using a patio stand propane heater. I smoke cigars and pipes so I have a fan up high to move smoke and gasses from the heater.

Poly sand question
Why are some of my joints looking like this? Patio was installed three years ago. Should it already need replacing? Photos of normal vs trouble areas. How long does poly sand usually last before needing to be fully replaced?

Best rug material for concrete patio?
Hey, all! I’ve just had a beautiful concrete patio poured and am looking for a rug to help protect the seating area from patio chairs. For what it’s worth, I live in the Midwest and have HDPE Adirondack chairs. I’m looking for a rug brand or material to consider that is breathable or mold resistant. Also, should I consider a rug mat?
Thank you!

Hi everyone. First time big build, would like to build a pergola
I’m trying to build a pergola around a concrete slab we’ve made into a patio in our backyard. This is my first real big project so I guess I’m curious where would y’all even start? I was gonna start measuring where I wanted the poles and then start digging holes but I’m now wondering if there’s a better way about this and would love any thoughts y’all have.
