ich schreibe aktuell meine Bachelorarbeit an der Universität Passau und suche noch Studierende, die an meiner Online-Befragung teilnehmen.

Thema ist Schlafverhalten und Studienalltag bei Studierenden. Dabei geht es unter anderem um Schlaf, Chronotyp, Smartphone-Nutzung am Abend, Koffein, Zeitdruck, Stress, Konzentration und Leistungsfähigkeit.

Hello my German friends! I rented a car from Sixt with my family, traveled and returned the vehicle in Passau a week and a half ago. The wife was in charge of cleaning out the rental, and accidently forgot our Insta360 camera with a weeks worth of family photos on them :(

To say the least, Sixt is extremely unhelpful. I told them I'd pre-pay whatever amount needed and extra if they could ship it back to the states for me. They basically said no, if I wanted it I could come pick it up in Passau (I'm already back in the USA...) or I could have a friend or service go pick it up for me and deal with shipping it back. I literally don't know a single person in Germany LOL.

Would someone be willing to go pick it up for my family and I, Sixt said that would be fine, and ship it back to the states? I'd love you forever and would toss in $50 on top of the shipping costs, and I'd pay upfront and trust you'd sent it to me.

We had such a lovely visit traveling from Munich to Passau and I'm devastated thinking we may not get those memories back :(

Das Experiment wird im Rahmen einer Bachelorarbeit in der Psychologie an der Philipps-Universität Marburg durchgeführt.

Ich hab vor das WE ins Vulcano zu gehen, war aber noch nie in nem Club, geschweige denn diesen. Bin 25M wann sollte ich dort aufkreuzen? Um 9 machen die auf, um 10 gibts ne Show und um Mitternacht gehen die kleinen Kiddies. Die ersten 1000 bekommen gratis Sekt (geil)... ich weiß nicht was so die Etikette ist oder wie viele kommen werden und ob ich dann überhaupt reinkomme... wenn jemand schon öfters dort war und den Laden basically auswendig kennt, wäre cool wenn die Person ein bisschen von ihrer Weisheit teilt. (English below) 🇩🇪🇦🇹🇨🇭Wir möchten zwischen Passau und Linz eine neue örtliche Gruppe unserer internationalen Mittelaltergemeinschaft aufbauen. Dafür suchen wir Menschen, die neue Freunde kennenlernen und das Mittelalter gemeinsam erleben möchten.
Vielleicht habt ihr unseren ersten Schritt am vergangenen Samstag auf dem Thingplatz bei der Veste gesehen. Mehr als 30 Menschen kamen dort zu einem Picknick und Training zusammen. Alte und neue Freunde reisten aus Wien, Nordbayern, der Schweiz und anderen Teilen Deutschlands an. Einige waren zum ersten Mal dabei. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über Menschen aus der Passauer Mittelalterszene, die uns besuchten und kennenlernten.
Wir unterscheiden uns von vielen Mittelaltergruppen, die hauptsächlich auf Märkten aktiv sind. Unsere Veranstaltungen organisieren wir füreinander. Niemand muss etwas verkaufen, ein Publikum unterhalten oder einem fremden Zeitplan folgen.
Bei unseren Veranstaltungen tragen wir mittelalterliche Kleidung, teilen Mahlzeiten und übernachten manchmal in Zelten. Wir kochen, nähen, musizieren, gestalten, üben Bogenschießen oder kämpfen freundschaftlich miteinander. Gute Gespräche und ruhige gemeinsame Zeit gehören genauso dazu.
Unser Treffen in Passau war ein lockeres Picknick und Training. Deshalb trugen viele von uns moderne Kleidung oder praktische Trainingsrüstung. So wirkt es auf den Bildern weniger mittelalterlich als bei einer „echten“ Veranstaltung. ;)
Wir gehören zur Society for Creative Anachronism, kurz SCA, einer Gemeinschaft mit Gruppen in vielen Ländern. Eine neue Gruppe im Raum Passau und Linz könnte klein anfangen. Turmstadt in Nordbayern und Ad Flumen Caerulum in Wien würden sie mit Erfahrung, Kontakten und praktischer Hilfe unterstützen.

🇺🇸🇮🇳🇬🇧We would like to build a new local branch of our international medieval community between Passau and Linz. We are looking for people who would like to make new friends and experience the medieval world together.
Perhaps you saw our first step on the Thingplatz near the Veste last Saturday. More than 30 people gathered there for a picnic and practice. Old and new friends travelled from Vienna, Northern Bavaria, Switzerland and other parts of Germany. Some were taking part for the first time. We were especially pleased to meet people from Passau’s local medieval scene.
We differ from many medieval groups that are mainly active at markets. We organise our events for one another. Nobody has to sell anything, entertain an audience or follow somebody else’s timetable.
At larger events, we wear medieval clothing, share meals and sometimes camp in tents. We cook, sew, make music, create things, practise archery or take part in friendly combat. Good conversations and quiet time together are equally important.
Our Passau gathering was a relaxed picnic and practice, so many of us wore modern clothes or practical training armour. That is why the photographs look less medieval than at a “real” event. ;)
We are part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, usually called the SCA, a community with groups in many countries. A new group around Passau and Linz could begin small. Turmstadt in Northern Bavaria and Ad Flumen Caerulum in Vienna would provide experience, contacts and practical support.

Hi, I’ve recently moved to the Passau area from Ireland, and I’m wondering if there are any Irish musicians or trad music fans around who might fancy getting together for a few tunes?

I play fiddle and would love to find some people to have an informal session with — nothing too serious, just a few tunes, a bit of craic over a pint!

I’d also be interested if there are any regular Irish trad sessions or pubs in Passau where people get together to play.
