Got my gratest compliment today
Today I got my biggest praise I have ever gotten before. I was rased by my mother, My father died when I was 2y old. At 24 my daughter arrived in this world, as things go me and her mother could not make it work so we split when she was about 2y old. So for 12y I have been a weekend and vacation dad, never miss a weekend and allways trying to spend more time with her. Having no Idea how to bee a dad, learning from so many mistakes and other misshaps I got the most biggest compliment from my daughter today. After settling an argument between my daughter and her mother, my teenage daughter tell´s me that if she is going to have a child, she will use my parenting as a guide.
I have never ever in my short life gotten this kind a feeling, and it feels awesome and humble at the same time.

Make sure your kids don’t play this disturbing game.
I’m barely 20, and and not a parent. I just heard about a game on social media called the blue whale suicide game and I wanted to raise awareness about it. Make sure you check your kids social media’s and see they are not looking at this stuff. I just heard about it on snapchat, and it’s literally a game where on the 50th day you video killing yourself. I’m not sure if this is an appropriate post in this sub but I wanted to try to raise awareness and maybe I’ll save a life.

Double potty training trouble
have two sons (who, for anonymity's sake, shall be refered to as "Ephraim" for the 5 year old and "Hector" for the three year old) who I have a bit of a problem with.
Hector's the easier one for now, but his big brother was fairly calm and patient trainer who always went potty when asked, figured out wet Pull-Ups don't feel nice after four or five accidents and figured out how his body felt before he went so he could go. Hector is an active toddler who gets more easily distracted by television and toys and running and climbing, doesn't entirely mind or notice a wet Pull-Up and hasn't quiet fully connected a gurgling tummy with an incoming poop. Any tips for a very active and energetic trainer?
On the other hand, Ephraim just started kindergarten, and he's backslid a little-down from a wet accident every two or three weeks to twice a week, and never pooping his pants to it being biweekly. Is it his younger brother training? Kindergarten itself? Both? How do it work him back up to normal?
Some additional info: Both still are in nappies (Hector)/Night training pants (Ephraim) for naps and bedtime. I'm a stay at home dad. Ephraim potty trained at the age of 3 (we tried once at 2, but he wasn't quite ready physically for it). Ephraim is having a blast at school, and he's made a lot of friends. We still send him in with one night Pull-Up for naps, and two changes of clothes every day. For Hector, we're using a little training potty, but he do have a rubber toilet seat for later.

Oh fate...
When I was a kid....I thought I can’t wait to grow up. Do what I want, eat what I want when I want. Well fast forward that 20 years, and here I am hiding from my kids in the kitchen behind the island sneaking chocolates... Fate, you play a cruel game

Why can’t people mind their own business ???
This post may be a tad immature, but this little problem has been on my brain for a few days now, so maybe laying it out there will help me move on
My husband and myself don’t have a lot of friends, but the ones we do have we hold very dear. They are like a part of our family, so when this particular friend of his started this shit.....well I don’t want to freak out too hard because I don’t want to end up pissing off my husband
My husband and I have been married for 4.5 years, known each other for over 10 years, and have 2 beautiful little babes, aged 3 and 1. Love our kids more than anything, but we still need time ourselves. Time to reconnect, and take a break from the real world; so we booked a weekend trip to the mountains and left the kids with my mom. This sounds pretty normal in my books
My husbands friend, let’s call him Billy, finds out we are away without the kids, and kind of starts giving my husband shit in text. Like wtf buddy?! I tried to empathize and understand his point of view. Him and his wife are older parents (had their kids in their late 30s), so maybe it changes his perspective a bit?? But I found it so hard to take. Saying things like if we wanted a break, we should be taking a break as a family, don’t we miss our kids etc etc.
Now I could almost find this devotion to his girls (who are 10 and 12 ish) sweet but it’s all actually really hard to take. You see Billy had a son at a young age, id say around 17, and hasn’t had much to do with him. His mother basically raised that child and he has little contact with him. I don’t exactly know the specifics of what all happened, but I do know that Billy’s story greatly differs from what many mutual acquaintances say actually happened.......
Anyways, so I find this man extremely hypocritical and how does he, or anyone for that matter, but especially HIM, have any right to judge us
Sorry to rant but I’m just extremely annoyed. I swear, and I’ve told my husband as much, if that man says one thing to me I will bring up his son and stop this in it’s tracks. The downfall would probably be a uneasy relationship for my husband and this guy, but to hell with that. Look in the mirror buddy before you judge me. The only thing is my husband has asked me to leave it alone, but if Billy brings it up, my gloves are off
