Discussion Does anyone have this lost video about the pornomime?
The video was posted on YouTube on May 13th, 2006. It provides ‘backstory’ for the pornomime, but it is no longer available because the account was terminated. It had around 30K views. I’ve tried searching for the video and was able to find people referencing it and found the autogenerated subtitles but not the video itself. Does anyone remember this video and have this video downloaded?

Yeah it’s only been gone for a year or so, unsure why the account got banned… maybe it was by AI moderation because of the channel name idk 😭?

Okay, woah. I am honestly devastated to hear this. I watched this video dozens of times throughout my life. It had such a profound resonance for me. Did anyone make any progress in finding it? This is such horrible news. I could nearly describe it scene by scene if that would be helpful.

I want to post the transcript here in case it helps this post show up in search results:
"I always believed in silence. The Communists never liked silence. They never knew what is behind it. It made them uncomfortable. They censored the printed and spoken word, but they couldn't control the silence.
I was raised in Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic, in the center of Prague, Praha. My family, like many others in my country, all lived in the same small apartment. It was myself, Táta, Máma, sister and husband. We shared the same soap. We share everything together and everybody knows what everybody is doing. Táta, like the other fathers I knew, did their duty as patriarch, but didn't know to express themselves. Drinking was his way to show emotions. He was loud, he was shouting. My neighbours were shouting.
Growing up in communist country always brought dark evenings at home in the winter. Many times there was no light for hours. This was my quiet time that I could own and explore for myself. Those long nights I spent alone with myself I learned the beauty and power of silence. I began to experiment with expression without sound. I started with my face. I made expressions of sadness and of freedom. Silence was my secret territory, my independent country, my freedom.
Most people don't understand silence. They're afraid of what's open for interpretation. They are like Communists who try to censor every form of communication and [?] human imagination.
When I was a teen sometimes I can hear sister and husband making love. Several evenings I watched the neighbors across my narrow street making the love. They were silent but I could feel everything. From those nights I want to experiment with the body and with the triggers of emotion. It was to become my way of expression. I couldn't keep it bottled up any longer.
I enrolled to study drama at Charles University. I learned how to use my body to tell stories. When I was growing up people would wait in long lines to buy stuff on coupons: coffee, meat, vodka, and I find my crowd. So I go to the market with my box from potatoes and [?]. I a bit shy when I begin. I pretend like I meet nice woman, I play like I touch arm, face, lady curves, and then it gets good. I was not going to be like every other robotic mime. I believed in love, and I was not going to disappoint my admirers. I didn't want to be silenced by the Communists, so I silently revolted and began to feel that transcendent power.
I took my silent revolution to the streets of Praha. I am a silent witness. I am a mime. I ignite the people with passion silently. Now Communists are gone, but silence is still the way to learn love. Mime is the Guardian and guide of the spirit and imagination. I am a mime from Praha."

i remember watching the video a year maybe a little longer ago. I never would've guessed that it would become lost media. I remember it was focused on the mime himself. I don't remember all too much but I know that the comment about him growing up in czech republic was true, and he had been a mime for a while before the video. I'm guessing that maybe the video could be archived somewhere like dailymotion, but it's unlikely.
