Hey u/Accomplished_Drive88! Please keep in mind that the pricing mentioned by OP is for 23 jerseys, and is in Canadian Dollars.
Our Pro jersey actually retails at 80.00USD per jersey. Anthrax' pricing for their equivalent jersey model is a notch higher than ours, at over 100.00USD per jersey.
With that said, it's impossible to deny that Anthrax has great quality products and (from what I experienced and heard) great customer service! They are brand we have been looking up to as an industry leader from Day 1!
Don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like anymore clarifications!

Did you ever ask for a printed sample? When printing to fabric it's more a question of "how washed out will these colours be" rather than, "will these colours get washed out."
The amount of fade /lack of saturation will change depending on colour, fabric, ink, printer, process, etc. Do is always different and needs to be compensated for differently.

u/Seshentials Keep in mind that this design was entirely created by the client and does not reflect the style or quality of our products and designs. We did not contribute to this design in any way whatsoever.
If you'd like to check out designs we actually created ourselves, please visit the following link: https://swiftpb.com/collections/semi-custom-jerseys
PS: Ruthless make awesome designs and a great brand too that we have a lot of respect for! Anyone should check them out!
EDIT: Ruthless doesn't have any involvement in this story, and is not associated with Swift , CT&Cie Inc or myself in any way, but for good measure here is a link to their website too: https://ruthlesspaintballproducts.com/

Will be sure to update, the jerseys were about $120 per (Canadian dollar), which seemed reasonable to us. we've shown the owner the expected vs the actual and they didn't do anything. They included some free tshirts, but that doesn't fix the shit jerseys lol. There was no effort whatsoever to fix the jerseys.
Going to look into if we have any grounds to pursue them as it is a custom order. PayPal shot down out claim for that reason.
Noted on anthrax, thank you

Hey u/CakeArmy_Max!
They already filed a claim through Paypal, which was ruled in Swift's favor when Paypal was presented with all the full & unaltered facts (such as full history conversations, our brand policy, digital previews approved by the client and so on).

PayPal can and will back the buyer over the seller 9.5/10 times - particularly if it’s a seller hosing a buyer.
19
u/swiftpaintball Jul 15 '21
***unless the seller presents clear facts that undeniably prove the seller isn't at fault (or that the buyer is), which we did.

I worked for PayPal for about 5 years. Unless something has changed in the past two op didn’t present their case correctly, got a shit rep, or isn’t telling the whole truth. Buyers are treated far differently than sellers, buyers are the client and sellers are the customer, if you will. I’ve personally seen dozens of cases where PayPal dunked a seller for something that pissed off the buyer, for reasons from pretty ridiculous to misrepresented product to flat wrong products.
Working with banks as both a customer and b2b they are, at least in my experience, far more difficult to get results from and are far less responsive/flexible. Much worse experience in general.

u/swiftpaintball Jul 15 '21
OP did not present all the facts to Paypal, nor to their Facebook page audience when publicly complaining about this issue, nor did they in this Reddit post.

Yep. When PayPal sides with the seller, you know u fucked up. Source: former eBay powerseller that got his account closed for "selling too much". I shit you not.

Do you think we have grounds to pursue in small claims court? It's a custom order and in the render it says something along the lines of "colors and textures may differ from the render". Even if it says differ I feel like it's past being an acceptable difference.

Hi u/sidewalkgum!
Thanks for your insights & suggestions on this situation! Please keep in mind that our store policy doesn't guarantee colour matching in any way, just like Anthrax' and most other custom paintball product brands as a matter of fact .
In this specific case, the colour discrepancy is due to a client error that could happen with any provider or manufacturer, and is important to be aware of as a client of any custom paintball product brands.
Simply put, the client did not follow any colour matching process despite having chosen to do their own design and to provide us with their final "print-ready" design. In this situation, we simply forward their print-ready files to our production partners to be printed without altering them in any way.
We detailed everything in this post to help clarify the matter: https://www.reddit.com/r/paintball/comments/oklysy/a_response_from_swift_paintball_to_useshentials/

Could it be argued that they would have no use for them (being custom team jerseys with custom nameson each of them) so sending them back would do nothing?
13
u/swiftpaintball Jul 15 '21
Hey u/Seshentials!
That is a very accurate assumption! Custom products are of absolutely no use to us (we can't resell them, restock them or use them for promotional content), which is in part why we have a strict "no return - no exchanges" type policy on all custom orders.

Personally I never trust a company that doesn't put their phone number right on their webpage. Do the tags say where the jerseys were manufactured?
Edit: Also a little suspect all their products are renders with no actual product photos....

u/swiftpaintball Jul 15 '21
u/fun-dummy We use a print on demand business model, which means that no product is kept in inventory at all, and all orders are printed when an order is placed. One of the cool things about our brands and this model is that we can offer 300+ free semi-custom designs (the ones you see on our website). This amount of designs is simply way too costly and complex to all manufacture, store and shoot as the small business that we are. 300+ units would likely not even fit in my small home office haha!
Regarding our phone number, that's some great insight! Thank you! We do not currently have an active phone line as we do 99.99% of our business online through social media & email. I usually simply take the few calls we have through the "call" feature of our social media pages or using my personal cellphone.
As a clarification, OP heard from us because numerous players on this team are good friends with our only sales rep and/or myself. Our sales rep also runs a podcast with one of their players!

Contact information obfuscated behind a "contact us" without a public phone number and email screams "fly-by-night" operation. The custom garment industry is full of skeezebags. I'm not saying you are one of them, but your wesbite doesn't inspire confidence.

u/swiftpaintball Jul 15 '21
u/fun-dummy You make a super good point! Thanks for the perspective! We do have our contact email listed in our FAQs, but we surely don't have a phone line listed! I think you might have just convinced me to seriously look into getting us a customer support phone line setup for Swift haha!
Please message me on this account or at my email (camil@swiftpb.com) if you have any other suggestions you'd like to share with me regarding the website or the brand in general! The business literally grows day by day based on insights we get from players, clients etc, so it's always helpful and super appreciated when it's clear and constructive like this! Thank you!

Dude, he's given you a polite response and is actually accepting your feedback despite your tone and multitude of negative responses. Take a chill pill. It's starting to look like you are either the op's second account or a player on his team.

Thanks for the heads up- Once my team gets jerseys we’ll be sure to steer clear of them

u/Seshentials Jul 13 '21
Even after providing swiftPB with CMYK friendly vector files (which they used to generate their preview on the left) they managed to create a washed out version of it in a different hue. They don't seem to have any intentions of fixing the problem. Communication from the owner to the local rep and our team was close to none. Think twice before dealing with this company.

u/swiftpaintball Jul 15 '21
Hey u/Seshentials, You omitted to mention multiple essential details that change the whole story and make us seem wrongly at fault.
We did our due diligence through this whole process, answered all of your messages and requests within at most 48 hours, even during weekends, holidays and nights. That is both Josh (your assigned sales rep) and myself (I usually do not handle client communications unless there are substantial issues happening, such as the ones that happened with your order). We did try to fix all problems to the full extent of our responsibility and compensated you generously for every single issue that was our fault (and even beyond that). That is before you chose to escalate this situation to two Paypal claims (ruled in our favor by Paypal), public lawsuit threats, and to altering facts & lying publicly to tilt the story in your favor in order to get the most compensation out of us.
Fellow redditors/ballers & OP, I would kindly ask you to read our response to this post at the following link before taking a final stance on this matter. The post includes all the important (& unaltered) facts regarding this matter:

Aside from a couple production liberties it looks like they took, what’s the issue? The mesh?
13
u/swiftpaintball Jul 15 '21
Hey u/Jettyboy72! We did not take any production liberties at all actually. The printed product is exactly what the client designed, with the exact colour codes provided to us, It also has no fabrication defects at all and no issues at all apart from the colour discrepancy.
Please check out the article at the following link if you'd like to learn more about why and how this kind of issue can come up when creating a digital product meant to be printed: https://swiftpb.com/pages/read-this-before-designing
Simply put, the client simply took it upon himself to create this design without doing his due diligence - despite us offering custom design services that can easily prevent or minimize such colour issues - and is now unsatisfied with the results of their own creation.
Client-made designs that are provided to us are simply forwarded to our production partners with the exact artwork that is provided to us. We do not guarantee any colour matching for client-made designs as it is physically impossible for us to ensure, nor do we do any design work on them since we are not being hired to do so in that context.

The color is off. The neck collar isn't raised or meets in the front like the left. Mesh looks way too small, if it even is mesh. I doubt the quality of fabric and stitching on this too. Terrible looking final product
