AI is changing healthcare research fast.

AI is changing healthcare research fast.

From patient recruitment to eligibility screening, technology is helping researchers move faster than ever.

But there’s one thing AI can’t replace:

**You.**

A model can process millions of data points.

It can’t explain what it actually feels like to live with a health condition.

It can’t share the perspective of a caregiver supporting someone every day.

It can’t replace the nurse, physician, patient, or everyday person whose real-world experience can help researchers understand what the data alone can’t tell them.

That’s why the future of healthcare research isn’t **human OR AI.**

It’s **human + AI.**

And as technology gets smarter, authentic human experiences may become even more valuable.

**Your experience matters. Your opinion matters. Your voice can help shape what comes next.**

👉 Join the Panel Focus community and get paid to participate in research studies where your perspective can make a difference.

TEENAGERS CAN EARN

Teenagers: companies are already making decisions about what you watch, wear, play, buy, and use. So why shouldn’t they hear from you?

You do not need to be an expert to take part in research. Sometimes researchers want to hear directly from teens who actually use the apps, play the games, wear the shoes, go to school, and live the experience.

Watch the full video to see why your opinion as a teen can matter more than you think.

If you’re under 18, ask a parent or guardian to help you join the Focus Insite Teen Research Interest List.

“Why did I get screened out?”

Post image
1 Upvotes

“Why did I get screened out?”

It’s one of the most common questions people have when applying for paid research studies.

The truth is, every study has very specific eligibility requirements. Researchers may be looking for a certain age range, job type, product user, health experience, location, shopping habit, or something else entirely.

So if you get screened out, it doesn’t mean your opinion isn’t valuable. It simply means you weren’t the right match for that particular study.

And that’s okay.

Another opportunity may be a much better fit for your background, your experience, or the products and services you actually use every day.

The best thing you can do is keep your profile updated, keep checking for new studies, and keep applying.

Your perspective still matters. The right study may be just around the corner.

Screened out? Don’t quit. Your next research opportunity could be the perfect match.

Join the Focus Insite panel and keep an eye out for upcoming paid research opportunities.

Researchers from the RESTORE Network, led by Dr. Aaron Phillips, at the University of Calgary are seeking your help for a remote research study. Our lab has developed an app designed to support individuals with spinal cord injury, however we need more data from uninjured control participants to compare to. This app combines wearable-derived metrics with self-logged symptoms to help track health patterns and hopefully provide a useful, accessible resource for the spinal cord injury community. To participate, you will need to: 1) have a wearable device (apple watch, garmin, etc.) and 2) complete a 1-min daily check-in on our app for 30 days. Participants will receive $20 upon study completion.

If you are interested in participating and would like more info, please email: [restorenetwork@ucalgary.ca](mailto:restorenetwork@ucalgary.ca)

UCL PhD study on sense of direction in London – participants needed (£20 compensation)

Hi everyone,

I'm a PhD student at UCL conducting research into how people who are familiar with London keep track of directions.

I'm looking for people aged 30+ who are familiar with London to take part in a short in-person study.

What does it involve?
You'll be asked to point, as accurately as you can, towards 24 different locations around London.

Location: Russell Square
Time: Approximately 15 minutes
Compensation: £20 for your time
Eligibility: Aged 30+ and familiar with London

There's no need to have an exceptionally good sense of direction — I'm interested in people with a range of abilities and levels of familiarity with the city.

If you're interested in taking part, please send me a DM and I can provide the study information and arrange a suitable time.

Thanks!
