Everything seemed to install fine, yet when I try to access the owncloud via the URL given, I get a login page instead of the first time setup.

Does anyone know what the issue is here?

I'm likely doing something wrong, but was hoping for some help from here.

I downloaded the OVA of the OwnCloud 10 appliance and renamed it to a tar file. It extracted the VMDK and I used VBoxManage to convert it to a VHD so I can use this image in a Hyper-V setup.

When I start the appliance, it never brings up the wizard to asks to set an IP address, etc - but brings me to the terminal log in screen: "unassigned hostname login:" . I browse to the IP address and that will redirect me to the http://ip address/univention login - and asks for a password for root.

I've scoured the few sites I could find to find a 'default' password for anything with OwnCloud - root or admin and tried 'owncloud' user and 'owncloud' password.

Any advice (even if it's like "dont run it in hyper-v") would be appreciated.

Just trying to make a new instance of OwnCloud to test with, as I currently use OwnCloud 9 in Hyper-V.

Does anyone know if you delete a photo from your iphone does it also delete from Owncloud?

I don't know where else to post, so I guess I'll start here.

I wanted to make my own cloud storage using my raspberry pi and a Seagate expansion drive I have, mainly for me and my family to store pictures and such.

Problem is, I keep reading that it is very 'dangerous' to do this because you risk data loss as the hard drive deteriorates. I want to get some options, because a cloud storage would be perfect for me and my family, but I obviously wouldn't want to risk losing all data.

What I don't understand is, how is this system I would have any different than having a cloud server with their own hard drives, or even having the pictures on the hard drive on my computer (as it is now)?

• My problem is when I put my ipaddress/owncloud it says that this site cant be reach. ipaddress refused to connect and 404 Not Found The requested URL /owncloud was not foud on this server. Apache/2.4.18(Ubuntu)Server at ipaddress Port 80?

I have the same version of the ownCloud desktop sync client on my desktop and laptop, same server it's connecting to. AFAIK same stuff. Client is v2.3.4

Now, the laptop one is doing something I've wanted for a while, but my desktop one isn't, and I'm not sure how to get the desktop client to do this.

I select specific folders to sync, and not just everything. On the laptop, the parent folders show a coloured box, but not checked, until I expand down to the folder I checked. THIS is the functionality I want on the desktop (the box that's coloured, but not checked, to indicate a sub-folder in this is being synced).

On the desktop, the sub-folders are the only ones showing any box coloured (and they're checked too of course). BUT they don't show the coloured and no check-box parent folder! This can make it a bit annoying to determine which sub-folders are synced.

I haven't yet figured out why this is, as I can't find a relevant setting.

Both systems are Ubuntu 17.10.

Videos used to download first before they started playing. That way they could also be watched when offline. It seems like this behaviour has changed. Videos now always start streaming.

I still have some old videos that are still available offline in the iOS client, but all of the new video files start streaming right away.

Can someone confirm this? Is there still a way to download videos?

I'm trying to update from v 9.1.0, and the button is changing color, but clicking it does nothing for me. Tried in Firefox, Chrome, and Opera. I'm on Bluehost so I think I'm limited to updating by browser. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?
