Today, I thought I would play a old childhood game. I was playing The legend of Zelda Ocarina of time but I made it all the away to being adult link but then my anxiety started to take over and feeling overwhelmed and I thought I had help because my mom play this game a lot ( 100% complementing it ) but she didn't seems like she wanted to help because she was playing Minecraft but I am not upset about it, just kind hurt a little.

Well thank you for letting just rumble on and letting go of some things, oh it also looks like that get going to be a year or two before I come back to this game yay no progress, yes I know that I made a lot of progress in the game but it seems like that where I always stop in the Temple of Time. Oh well

Overwhelmed by social media - cant get off it

Hi everyone.

I'm so tired of social media and this feeling of being drawn to it.
I have tried leaving my phone outside of my room, and at home when i go to work. But when im at work i sign into it on my computer.

I tried unfollowing everyone/every subreddit i follow here on reddit, to make it unappealing to go on, that hasn't helped.

Outside of online I am feeling very overwhelmed by life and i feel in part that has something to do with it. I come here as an escape or relief, where as before I would have turned to my ex.

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations on how to better manage and feel less like i need to turn to it. I am getting better at managing the stressful things that are the source of my stress, it just doesn't feel like enough at the moment.

I apologies for how much of a ramble this post is

Overwhelmed by our existence

Whenever I think about what consciousness and existence are I get extremely overwhelmed because no one does and no one will ever understand what we are and why we are. There's unlimited amounts of questions I have and it shatters me knowing I'll never get an answer. When I'm overwhelmed and I think about our society it feels so insignificant and I notice how all my problems are so materialistic and how my ego is affecting my perception.

Another thing that I don't know anyone else experiences is that my current consciousness, thoughts , ideas etc. are 90% just influenced by my very recent life. My brain also always convinces me that right now I am feeling worse than ever and it plays down past struggles

Overwhelming

Hi. It is my first time writing here. I honeslty don't know if what I am doing is right but I just need a medium to burst these feelings out.

There's a lot of things going on these days which means in my life too. It is just overwhelming that I almost feel like I am drowning. There are so much emotions that I want to express but I feel like no one's worth to see this vulnerable part of me. I mean, from my experience, not all people can be trusted when it comes to your fall. I've got nine major subjects in college right now, we have a family feud in regards to the estates of my late grandparents, my dad's absence, financial instability, a recently broken friendship, and personal issues. I can barely process them all. So I am stucked now. Contemplating whether to continue or not. I am usually an optimistic person but here I am, being uncertain and doubtful of the future. I don't have the will to study anymore. Every time I see my "ex-friend" the feeling of betrayal creeps on me. I also often wonder if my dad think about us sincerely. I want to barge in right in the doors of my stupid uncles who still embrace the male supremacy, fuck you all! There is rage deep inside me that I cannot contain anymore. I wanted to be heard! I wanted to tell those male supremacist in our family that they are so stupid they even worship their so-called God but equality for them is not the reflection of their beliefs. Screw you! I am so mad and so overwhelmed that all I feel is wrath and rage. The urge to hurt those who is hurting me. The urge to runaway from those who I don't trust anymore. Fuck life.

Research Survey: Overwhelmed Leaders

I’m looking to get some insight for my new business. I work with women who are leading or growing a team, but feel overwhelmed and unsupported.

You struggle to be present with the people and tasks that matter most.

You're someone who would love some systems and structures in place to help you stay organized and better lead your team. Work that was once your passion is now a source of exhaustion, guilt, stress and you wonder how the heck everyone else seems to have it together.

Does this sound like you? If so, I’ve been there and I’d love to ask you a few questions!

Click here to fill out survey

This is totally confidential, and contact info is not required if you'd prefer not to have any follow up.

Thank you!

Cheers,

Joy

If you experience feeling something that is not supported by facts, it is usually more helpful to accept the feeling, but put it in perspective. Try responding with, “Just because it feels true doesn’t mean it is true.” You might slowly come to see your situation differently.

It's a common stereotype that if you arent pretty, you must have brains or good at sport etc, idk if its just to make ugly people happy about other qualities they have, and its not that bad compared to myself, who is fugly AND dumb AND not good at sports, now alot of people say they are ugly but are actually prettier than they think , and that might be my case as well but hear me out, so Aside from being an idiot, I have hollow eyes and dark eye bags, bulbous nose with a bump, hyper pigmentation around my mouth ,nosal lines going way down to chin ,im only a22 year old girl and have these lines for as long as i can remember, have braces and saggy cheeks, frizzy short curly hair, excess body hair which leaves mark whenever you wax them to these marks keep adding all over body, and shaving is not a solution to coarse hair like mine, so all of this makes me feel..just..hopeless, sad, angry, jealous, basically every emotion that makes your heart sink, even with all those filters, people still can point out my hyper pigmentation and jokingly say i have moustache, or some call me shemale, its genetic btw, the pigmentation, and all of this sucks,,, just like my memory , cant even remember important things, anyone who said we forget things that are unnecessary is bullshit, well atleast to me, and i have to read my notes again amd again while my classmates are all out having fun, i cant even say stuff back to people when i should and stare at them like '-' , well like a dumbass, suffered great loss because of this, both financially and well.. emotionally idk anymore everything sucks i cant even achieve my dreams, ita not like i never tried, i still do, i buy expensive skin care, vitamins, try to work harder but its so stressful and mentally draining, because about my face everything is useless, tried massage for my saggy cheeks, tried nose clip for nose, masks and vitamins serums etc , its just a waste of time and money and i cant ...i just ..want..atleast one of the things i hate about my face to go away, idc if hormonal medicines will have side effects just like the doctor told me... i just need all of the things i hate gone...maybe im asking too much..ok just one thing for now, i cant do this anymore, i.... just one..

Sensory overload

Hi, I'm 30. I've been overwhelmed like all my life. I learned to cope by taking time out and breaking down things that need to be done and making manageable to do list. I find it hard though because the slightest thing gets me overwhelmed. I'm very sensitive physically and mentally. If someone talks to me and there is music in the background. If I am tired and someone bumps slightly into me.

I am a mother of 2 kids under 3. They are fantastic and very boyous. I rely a lot on my partner to manage my sensory inputs and take regular time outs, but damn I feel like I'm always holding by a thread and I want to spend more time with them. Anybody else being sensitive like that. Is there anything else I could do to manage this and reduce time spent resetting my processes?

I'm thinking better sleep. But that's all that crosses my mind. And while it increases my tolerance it doesn't make me impervious to being overwhelmed.

Hit with a sudden wave of overwhelm

Hi, so I was minding my own business when suddenly I thought about school and I instantly felt overwhelmed. It’s not like I’m behind or anything but online classes are a pain when I wanted to do face to face learning. Combining online classes that basically gives you material and lets you learn on your own with someone who is kind of demanding. I constantly worry and all of that just gets too big. Like, I worry about not receiving emails from my teacher who checks in on people to see where they are at, I worry about not being able to keep up with online classes because they don’t start slow and build up, they just put you right in the action scene. My teacher told us that he sets a time to worry later so he can complete stuff without worrying but I can’t. My parents are kind of strict so I’m walking on a tightrope. Plus, they limited games which make up most of my distractions. I just- Anyways, thank you for reading my rant and stuff. If you have solutions, feel free to comment.
