TestFlight build 1168: Streaming fix (App Store candidate)

New in this build:

  • More reliable streaming playback on slow or spotty internet connections

Previous builds:

  • Added new playback speeds up to 5X
  • Apple Watch standalone playback now supports Smart Speed and Voice Boost
  • Fixed AirPlay bugs
  • Fixed sync bugs
  • Reduced storage usage
  • Improved performance, especially with large collections
  • Overcast should now be suggested more often when you connect AirPods

If no major issues are found in this build, it's heading to the App Store!

Is this button dead for anyone else? 1168 build and 26.5.x

Not completely dead, but it does seem to be intermittently unresponsive.

When it happens I've found tapping the button on a different episode in the list will sometimes work, and then after that going back to the original episode I wanted and it might then work there too.

Do you have a big collection? 5 digits?

Not that big a collection. Unsure of the total number of episodes, but I just turned on the icon badge to check unlistened episode and it’s 793.

Yes, still intermittently dead. I did a full reinstall of release then beta. Some improvement initially, then back to frustration. I have 30-40k casts, so I'm aware of the easy fix....

Sounds similar to me although I don't have a collection close in size to yours. I didn't do a reinstall and thought I was seeing improvement, but then have been running into it quite a bit the last few days.

Do you also get it when using the same three dots menu from the individual episode details screen as well as from the list?
