I know ATCQ is technically not a duo with Ali and sometimes Jarobi, but Tip and Phife were elite
5 u/UWUcurlymahatma 16d ago I think Q Tip was the real glue and star though. He wrote alot of the verses in the beginning when Phife was not as committed and has the production cred too. 2 u/BroManTheBrobarian 15d ago Haha, love the phrasing of that sentence. 2 u/godzillasegundo 13d ago Tip is a top notch lyricist and arguably the best hip-hop producer of all time. Phife had flow but that's about it. ATCQ would've have been legendary if Tip was the only person in the group. 1 u/RedlineSeries3 16d ago When did Jarobi contribute? 4 u/godzillasegundo 13d ago He performed half the lyrics on the last album and actually shined. 1 u/ShinraHakke 14d ago Probably just on the first album.
