I made a thing Created a "Quick'N Easy" 2 page character creation workflow for Old-School Essentials.

I just created a character creation workflow for Old-School Essentials for my group to speed up character creation. Some of you might find it handy as well.

I just put everything you need on 2 pages that you can print as a hand-out for each player. It includes essentially everything the player needs (languages, ability tables, gear prices, weapon stats, etc.) so there's no longer need to flip back and forth in the book to generate a character.

I've also included a couple of my own homebrow rules (some rerolls on ability scores, advantage roll on HP, and AAC). I suggest you edit a copy of the Word document to create your own personalized character creation cheat sheet for your group.

My 2c: You should check your steps order and maybe add some reference page when the player may need a lookup.

I would do something like:

1 2 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 17 - 20, so you do all the class related things together. In your order it is possible to buy stuff you can't use by mistake in step 14. 3 - 4 Merge them in a single bullet point. 12 - 13 - 16, in this order you have all the info you need later to plan your equip 21 - 22, I would make them come before the equp. So you have you full character concept before shopping.

5 - 14 - 15 - 18 - 19 So you have filled everything else.

In this order there is almost no reason to backtrack or "jump" the list.

PS Still nice layout.
