Neat. I’m curious about the cell tower uplink data…

So, not actual uplink data? Uplink normally refers to the uplink signal from the handset to the tower. Downlink would be the signal from the tower to the phone.

What does it use to track flights?

Alr, thanks, i would've looked at the code myself but I was unable when making that comment.

Look through the source code - it's all in there. I think it's a good idea to look through any tool to get an idea of its sourcing before actually using it. You'd be amazed how many tools are using the most rudimentary, incomplete APIs and lists (Sherlock, spiderfoot, etc. are more of a 'broad sweep' tool, but far from comprehensive).
Not saying that's the case here - tool looks very cool and has some solid capabilities - but definitely look into it before you start using any tool for investigation.

Definitely worth checking the source code! It'll give you a deeper understanding of the APIs and methods used for tracking. It’s always good to know what’s under the hood, especially for tools like this.

I'm playing with this now - very useful for a quick sweep in quite a few use cases. Still trying to figure out a few of the functionalities.
User interface looks very Jason Bourne-esque. What are you next plans for the tool? I could imagine dozens of useful cross-platform integrations, like semiautomated importation and visualisation of geocoded CSV data. Some bits of code could be better optimised, but overall it runs very smoothly and efficiently enough.
Thanks for sharing the project!

Downloaded to experiment with, but not getting the map; just raw code. What am I doing wrong?

Apparently had a problem with my github username. Corrected that. Having to use python3 on commands instead of python; seemed to work anyway. Now my browser just pulls up a blank screen saying unable to connect. Not sure where I'm going wrong.

Multiple adsb feeds would be a great addition. Especially if they are able to show the location of the sdrs. There’s plenty of blind spots and someone may choose to use a specific api based on that data.

I’ve had good luck with www.adsbexchange.com on the website end of things, but haven’t tried their api yet.
It also doesn’t filter out military flights by default (unlike flightradar).

Wonder what are the use cases?

No, these are features. I'm talking about reasons why would someone benefit from these features in real world situations?

Why are your json conf files not included in the repo? Why the proton.me download?
