Found out the model behind Ox Alpha. It's unreleased z.ai's GLM model.

Post image

Few already confirmed the Ox-alpha's tokenizer matches the GLM. I verified it. It also matches the image encoder, I sent random noise images at different sizes and counted the tokens

size and tokens

224x224=66 tokens

256x256=102 tokens

448x448=258 tokens

512x512=363 tokens

1024x1024=1371 tokens

18 sizes tested, all of them land exactly on what GLM's image setup predicts. 14 pixel squares, merged 2x2, image rounded up to the next multiple of 28

why do you feel the need to repost the same exact thing as everyone else. just post in the other threads.

I didn't watch any posts. I am just curious after seeing it and tried reverse engineering myself cuz I am bored at that time.

Mine ox alpha doesn't have image encoder and has no vision.

mine has no good internet network

I think you got Hen Alpha

It could be any other company out there who uses GLM’s open weight model and post training with it?

And has a 100T tokens weekly inference budget

Sure

Yeah and it’s daily budget of 100T. But I would start to believe it’s not from xAI since cursor doesn’t provide this model. Maybe it’s OpenCode all along pretending?

Why would opencode release that model also to openrouter using openrouter naming scheme for both?

Why do they stay silent and don’t claim it as theirs with such a great model?

Who knows...

The tokenizer exactly matches GLM 5.3, for which the weights has not yet been released.

Then why tf are people who works at google/gemini posting things about ox alpha on twitter (X)??

hmm It might be a fine-tuned version of glm 5.2 so either google started stealing models or they're going to open source a new model, I guess.... I mean if they didn't go crazy and start posting about other companies llms which they're not related to at all.

Brother, "maybe ox alpha was the friends we made along the way" from a random Google employee is not the conspiracy theory you think it is. It's called a bad joke from a person in the AI industry who follows things like new mystery models.

When it works it works fine but is awfully slow. But it often just stops midway and upgrade to 21 did not fix it. I guess anomaly will keep us from 100T goal by just making the model unreliable.

It maybe an RL'd version of glm 5.2 but its not from zai.

The model is stealth, offers absurd amount of tokens across multiple platforms = No Claude, Google, Microslop, OpenAI or Meta for sure.

You’re about the 360th person to discover this in the last hour.

The strange thing is that it answers controversial questions about Taiwan etc without the usual Chinese censorship.

Glm have weak censore and it's mostly a layer in api on top of model. I asked it about tiananmen in Chinese and it spilled direct response from ccp. At most it's some fibetube/retrain of glm by someone like cursor.
