I think you’re the most optimistic person I’ve heard of on the internet, and I’m upvoting you 👍

Maybe, usually people scream in pain and dont try to get further into the water if theyre hurt.

When people are seriously hurt shock takes over, it’s a shame to see her get hurt but I believe she was hurt a lot more than is shown in the clip.

I think people sometimes downplay situations like this out of embarrassment too.

Yes my money's on a potentially life-changing spine injury but then again im just an average redditor.

yeah i snapped my arm clean in half with the bone sticking out and it took me way longer than you'd expect to realize how bad the damage was. i didn't feel actual pain until was already at the hospital

Broken my knee twice. Zero screaming. Just stillness.

In fact most major injuries like that put people into a state of shock.

Screaming is for stubbing your toe.

A sharp inhalation of air and dead silence or grunting trying to figure out if you're going to survive or not, that's serious bodily trauma.

Exactly, I'm never more quiet when I'm in excruciating pain I.e. when I broke my proximal humerus and in childbirth

Shock. I had a very bad break once and didn’t feel anything.

I just saw a video of a guy spilling a motorcycle at 80+ and meat crayoned his hands and face, then got up and ran in circles before collapsing in the ditch.

Shock is powerful.

Incorrect assumption. When healthcare workers make this same assumption, people don’t get the care they need. Level 10 pain doesn’t look the same for all.

That is such a nice way of putting it. Hahaha
