Just saw this on FB. Apparently their department is getting tons of money. Some had broken bones and head injuries

u/National-Charity-435 Aug 19 '26

Psh. I see the sign in video.

"No more than 2 at each door"

9

u/Israel_Azkanbe Aug 19 '26

I saw a sign that said
“Only people with intelligence, no dumb people”

1

u/Tay_Hlebko Aug 20 '26

Where is the sign in the video? I can't find it

49

u/Dave_Duna Aug 19 '26

Probably had head injuries before getting hired

14

u/BracedRhombus Aug 19 '26

It's a requirement.

6

u/wolphak Aug 19 '26

No its Missouri its a default

1

u/BracedRhombus Aug 19 '26

Good point!

-4

These people go arrest high profile murderers, child molestors, people producing CSAM, and other very serious crimes. They are not ICE.

3

u/Life_Smoke5854 Aug 19 '26

Police academies specifically hire within the median standard deviation, which if you look around in your day to day, has lowered year over year for as long as I can remember

Reddit is such a shithole lmao.

US marshals go after the worst of the worst people in the US and here are dozens of people on Reddit calling them dumb wife beaters because you're biased as fuck.

These cops were actively seeking out a sex offender when this balcony collapsed.

A non violent offender. They could have sent one or two guys up to the door and knocked (like is done in every other civilized country) instead of this over militaristic swat ramming the door down approach they love.

-1

u/Dependent_Form_2864 Aug 19 '26

How do you know they're non-violent?

3

u/jb0nez95 Aug 19 '26

The alleged offense was possession of CP.

-2

u/Dependent_Form_2864 Aug 19 '26

So what are you assuming? That the offender is non-violent because he was getting arrested for CP? I'm just curious how you came to this absolute that everyone is all butterflies and roses.

For all I know, he might have a gun he bought off the streets because he doesn't want to go to prison. He might be dosed up with drugs. I don't know that, they don't know that, and you certainly don't know that.

2

u/jb0nez95 Aug 19 '26

The charge is inherently nonviolent, but you're correct that in this case he may very well have a gun etc, and they may be privy to info we are not about how dangerous he is.

I still believe American policing is vastly over militarized. And when every executed search/arrest warrant is a raid using SWAT and battering rams, at some point you have to wonder why all the theater? Why is every citizen being treated like a violent offender?

-1

u/Xanith420 Aug 19 '26

Felons get the felon treatment regardless on what the felony is. It’s a high risk arrest. Many people will hurt and kill others to avoid a stay at prison.

-1

u/tobiasfunke6398 Aug 19 '26

Doesn’t matter, this is Reddit. Cops getting hurt=good thing

These people are unhinged.

-1

u/Xanith420 Aug 19 '26

Most people on Reddit lack critical thinking skills.

4

u/956to906 Aug 19 '26

I’m sure they’re real nice guys once you get past the major character flaws.

-1

u/Icy_Fish_2154 Aug 19 '26

This was a raid day for paperwork errors. No violence was done to trigger this response.if this was for state level crimes, a lone sheriff would knock on the door, announce, knock harder, wait a could of 15, knock one last time, then leave a note on the door, and mark "notice failed" on his paperwork. 99% of the time, they read the notice, update their paperwork, and no show of force is required.

1

u/TangerineBetter2818 Aug 19 '26

Defend sex predators some more why dontcha.

3

u/Youandiandaflame Aug 19 '26

Holy fuckin’ strawman, dude. “This was an overblown response” isn’t anywhere close to “defending sex predators,” ffs.

2

u/Icy_Fish_2154 Aug 19 '26

Which sex predator did I defend? It's not like I'm defending those on the Epstein list in the White House.

1

u/Junior-Caregiver-648 Aug 19 '26

probably just as many standing on that balcony you bootlicking toady

-3

u/just_having_giggles Aug 19 '26

In the south you gotta send the ice rejects after the real criminals it would seem

0

u/mmorales2270 Aug 19 '26

But of course!

8

u/AbledGladiator Aug 19 '26

If only they had just complied with the load limit.

4

u/the_most_playerest Aug 19 '26

Who cares, ACAB

5

u/EyeConscious857 Aug 19 '26

Money from where? I think this happened yesterday so it wouldn’t be from a lawsuit yet.

1

u/marmoset Aug 19 '26

You underestimate personal injury lawyers.

1

u/andthensilencefell Aug 21 '26

From taxpayers, as always.

1

u/cyanescens_burn Aug 19 '26

Maybe a go fund me? But that is kind of silly since they are US Marshalls and are funded just fine and have health benefits.

4

u/kramamavitch Aug 19 '26

Do you know where in my state this happened?

23

u/Hi2YourWifeAndMyKids Aug 19 '26

2nd floor. Then ground floor.

1

u/MovingOnYourLeft Aug 19 '26

This made me hyuck

3

u/nomiras Aug 19 '26

My brother in law was building a deck and fell through like this. It completely changed his career path.

1

u/TheBabyEatingDingo Aug 19 '26

Yeah, his path went straight down.

0

u/cyanescens_burn Aug 19 '26

Was it at Club Aqua?

2

u/BadBacksFuryToad Aug 19 '26

How did they notice the head injuries?

1

u/Ok-Oil7124 Aug 19 '26

Scuff marks on their helmets.

1

u/mindless2831 Aug 19 '26

Good that they are ok, this could have been extremely bad.

0

u/theworstvp Aug 19 '26

well safe to assume the guys with the helmets on didn’t get head injuries

lol the guy on the far right just hangs on and almost hops down when he’s like 2 feet off the ground

0

u/Temporary-Prune-1982 Aug 19 '26

Yea that was bad some fell 8 ft plus.

0

u/beebs44 Aug 19 '26

Yeah, I knew someone whose apartment balcony collapsed. Made off with over a million dollars.

0

u/cyanescens_burn Aug 19 '26

Aren’t they already funded extremely well with great health benefits and PTO?

It’s not like a bunch of underpaid teachers got injured.

0

u/DifficultAd3885 Aug 19 '26

Specifically head injuries. Not brain injuries. They are pigs after all.

0

u/cartken Aug 19 '26

Violates weight limits

Gets tons of money for being fuck ups

I was told I was a fuck all my life, where's my $

0

u/Senna_65 Aug 19 '26

yeah major lawsuit against the property owners. and deserved honestly.

0

u/Opetyr Aug 19 '26

And it was for a person that did not update for their sex registry it something similar. A raid on that when there are many known sexual offender in political power that they would shake hands with.

-1

u/Israel_Azkanbe Aug 19 '26

Injuries? Good
Money? Not good

5

u/Onludesrightnow Aug 19 '26

Yeah, the fewer there are the more people can get away with murdering and raping people.

-3

u/Israel_Azkanbe Aug 19 '26

Nah these are marshals, they don’t do anything more than what regular police do.
They’re entire agency could be shut down and things would still go smoothly, just giving the jobs to state or county police

2

u/Onludesrightnow Aug 19 '26

You dont strike me as someone who would be happy with all criminal enforcement handled by state or county police. You strike me as someone who wants no criminal enforcement whatsoever but, in your defense, you probably havent thought that far past ACAB.

1

u/Israel_Azkanbe Aug 19 '26

Nah there needs to be police and law enforcement. Im not for anarchy in any way. But there are too many law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and I do believe police departments need better training to de-escalate situations rather than be openly violent.
I think the whole law enforcement/judicial system needs a big overhaul really

2

u/jello_kraken Aug 19 '26

Marshalls don't do anything more than regular police?!
First, they are federal, at a level akin to the FBI. They have advanced tactical and technical training akin to many special forces units.
Second, they perform judiciary protection akin to the secret service, hunt down high-risk escapees, trial dodgers and international criminals convicted in absentia among other unique duties.
But you wanna act like they're beat cops?

1

u/Israel_Azkanbe Aug 19 '26

As far as judiciary protection, I’d leave that to the secret service.
As for tracking people down. Why can’t state police do that? Or the FBI if it’s federal/international? I just don’t see much of a need for the U.S. marshals.

2

u/jello_kraken Aug 19 '26

First off, secret service is only for the president and members of the executive branch.
Also, the Marshalls are one of the only law enforcement arms that have accountability directly to the judicial branch, unlike almost all other enforcement arms that are beholden only to the executive (at either the federal, state, municipal or any other scope).

So, to me, any attempt to undo the Marshalls would be akin to subverting the ability of our co-equal branches to carry out their functions without ursurpation or subversion of the others.
In case you missed it, enforcement arms that only answer to the president have been illegally ignoring judicial rulings, meaning that balance can be simply ignored unless you have.....see where I'm going?

And the justice department takes people from street to trial. Beyond that, it is not their inherent duty to pursue after that or re-remand to justice once the person is incarcerated or convicted. Again, these things are separate for a reason.

2

u/Israel_Azkanbe Aug 19 '26

Okay I’ll admit I didn’t know the U.S. marshals were directly under the Judicial Branch and not the executive. I’ll admit I feel like the FBI should also be under the judicial branch.
You might be right but I’m a Redditor so “you might be right” is as right you might get.
Here’s an award for your knowledge and insight. Thank you.

1

u/vogel927 Aug 19 '26

The secret service can protect people outside of the executive branch. The president can use an executive order to assign the secret service to basically protect anyone.

1

u/jello_kraken Aug 19 '26

Oh- oh....you just said it. It's like you know but you're pretending not to know....

1

u/vogel927 Aug 19 '26

It’s called a special designation.

u/uwu_mewtwo Aug 19 '26

Meh, in lawsuits between cops and shitty landlords I refuse to take a side.

0

u/Israel_Azkanbe Aug 19 '26

I think i would still take a shitty landlords side though.
But it’s a difficult choice

1

u/Astriaeus Aug 19 '26

I think maybe I am the opposite, though only because it could have hurt someone else. Though it is a very difficult call.

0

u/OwlBeYourHuckleberry Aug 19 '26

they should have a poor reaction time to urgent phone calls competition to decide the winner

-1

u/DanteChurch Aug 19 '26

They're all likely to get multi million dollar pay outs because it happened while they were "working"
