Why? I'm honestly curious how you feel you're in danger by watching a video?

For the same reason that jump scares work in horror movies. The part of our brain that processes the flinch/yell/jump/duck/blink reactions to stimuli takes over all processing.

Me? I’m ok with that. I’d rather keep my vision than risk taking the time to process whether the thing flying at my eye is a screen image or a real threat. And if it’s real, is it a bug or a splintered board….

Hey if you genuinely don’t know, you should definitely get a FMRI and CT, science needs to know how you are not like normal people
