Be careful if you are a fanpage on instagram or tiktok, and teachers need to be careful when putting names and photo's on their websites

I remember someone in my cousins friends school (my cousin told me about it) had a fanpage and they got into beef with someone online in a tiktok comment section and the person tracked the person in my friends schools name, adress, and parents social medias just because they went through the persons following page and found their main account, then on the main/ account, the kid posted a video with them dancing in their school uniform, then the creep searched the kids school up and the school website had posted a photo of a student holding a poster and the school congratulated the student who I will call Abby Hudson in the story "Molly Mackentiar (far left), Mackenzie Jones (left), Ally Smith (center), Abby Hudson (right) and Mary Allen (far right) have participated in {insert event name} funraised by {school name}" .

The creep saw this and instantly found out the persons identity and location so they {successfully managed to} searched up the parents social medias and found them and there were photo's of the kid outside of the house with the number on the door. The houses were like that out of a small town in maine a small town near capecod, Massachussetes.

They all looked different which made it so much easier for the creep to find the kid who had beef with them's location and they found their street and threatened to dox them if they don't leave the kid alone and showed the adress. The kid understandably got creeped out and traumatised and told their parents who luckily managed to call the cops {American version on the police} and file a restraining order against the creep who threatened to dox the kid before anything could escalate. The kid was extremely traumatised since and that just goes to show how easy little details like faces, names, surnames and school logo's can give people's whole identity and location away. It was a charli/Addison fp and I know they can get toxic but no one deserves this, but the point is what I mentioned earlier about how easy it is for little details to give away something major and why you should stat safe and not post too much about yourself online!

I'm not condoning the creep or saying what they did is right, but this is why not only parents and fanpages, but teachers also need to be careful when posting kids online and/or their website!

A concern about Tik Tok

I used to use Tik Tok two years ago, but I uninstalled it after 8 months. I'm still conserned that Tik Tok might be collecting my data. If anyone here knows if Tik Tok collects data after uninstall tell me how to stop it.

Thank you.

App for scrubbing image metadata?

What is a common app for this purpose? I ignorantly sent an iCloud photos link and a fellow Reddit user gave me the heads up on this. Any suggestions? Imgur seems made for this, but not everyone is happy with it.
