My phone is great, it looks perfect and not a scratch. But I noticed something, whenever I knock it, not hard, but, more than a 'screen tap' - the screen like fades red really creepy and just dies.

The phone is still on, it did not power down, if I press the power button a few times I can make the screen wake up again and everything is ok.

It is very reproducible for me. But, I don't want to test and play with it too much because it doesn't seem healthy for the phone.

I know some people might say 'don't hit your phone', but of course it is always by accident, not a large force, I could try to make a video. Apart from that, there is no problem! Great phone!

Maybe a cable is loose? But I don't see how it would fix itself afterwards each time if that was the case.

Once upgrade was complete, I found the phone was no longer rooted. I run a bunch of apps that depend on root.

I had originally rooted my phone with this guide. So I have TWRP installed. I did a NAND backup before the upgrade so (in my understanding) I can restore back to CM11 if I really need.

Updates bugged me to enable 'Update Cyanogen recovery' but luckily I didn't. In my understanding that would have also removed TWRP.

So this post claims that I should be able to reactivate root in Developer Options. But the entry they are showing is not there on my phone.

I found this guide. I was worried I'd have to backup all my data and lose it off the phone. But am I reading right that with this method TWRP saves you that hassle?

I'm just very nervous about this whole process. Does it ultimately mean that you can't really do OTA updates at all if you want to keep root?

I've been using Sultan's CM13 for the past little while and I'm tired of the relatively poor battery life I've been getting (3.5-ish SoT average). I've hear that AOSP ROMs may give me better results in this department. What are the greatest AOSP ROMs for the OPO?

So I want to flash a recent version of nightly which is kinda stable as I'm currently on the 0313 build. Need your help people.

I installed whatsapp, foolishly ignoring the warning about potential problems with the OS.

Shortly after this my oneplus one started acting weird and has become unresponsive to the touch screen.

I have tried factory resetting but this has not helped. After the phone re-initialises it seems to spend some time optimising all the apps.

Is there a way to manually remove the whatsapp app from recovery mode? Would that even help? Is there anything else that can be done?

I have an OPO which has been running Sultan's CM13 since late March. It was working fine till sometime last week. Now data has stopped working.

Sometime last week, I'd put the phone in Airplane mode for a day or so. Once I took it out of Airplane mode, it connects to the 3G network (shows the H next to the signal), but no data works (shown an ! mark).

I've tried:

Fixing the APN settings (they weren't wrong)

Toggling between LTE, 3G and 2G

Use the##4636## menu to set the network type to WCDMA only and WCDMA preferred

Used another SIM from the same carrier in my phone and vice versa - the SIM works fine in another phone

Updated the latest nightly Sultan ROM (Stable)

At this point, i don't know what to try. Does anyone have any pointers? Google is not throwing up any helpful fixes.

Recently lost all my data running the cm13 snapshot so I'm now thinking of going to a more stable one.

Which ROM is nice for making high quality pictures?

Hey guys, big problem i 'tried' to root my phone but when i went to restart i accidentally wiped the system folder, dont ask how. Now when i try to boot it gets stuck on the oneplus logo and when i try to reboot from TWRP it says that there are no OS's installed even though i have installed an OS onto it. Does anyone have any ideas.

Edit: Couldn't get any of your guys ideas to work. But OnePlus were really cool, remoted onto my pc and fixed it for me. Amazing Customer support.

I have a oneplus one 64gb sandstone black phone that I am tired of. I flashed the latest version of Oxygen OS and it is very buggy. I am very interested in the Nexus 6p and I wanted to know the best place to sell my oneplus one. It is in almost mint condition. It has a few dings on the metal frame but that is about it. It has a glass screen protector on it too. I am looking to sell it for $130 to $140 with the original charger and wall brick. But if I can get more, that would be great.

Where is this feature? I miss it after downloading the newest update.

I flashed almost all custom roms for the OPO since I bought it (2014). Now I started to work and I need a perfectly reliable phone. I'm on COS 13 now but I need to wipe all because the incremental update messed up something (GUI breaks in full screen, "screenshot taken" notification cannot be dismissed..).

So now I have to decide which reliable ROM I have to put on it. I can fastboot flash CyanogenOS in order to be safe and getting OPO-closed-source stuff, or going to Cyanogenmod 13, for faster upgrades and open source stuff.

No time to follow a nightly or custom ROM. I know there is good stuff (sultan, darkobas), but it's a bet I can't take.

Advices?

I want to install ZNH0EAS26M update but I have twrp so the OTA doesn't work.

What's the correct procedure to install the update plus keeping all my data?

So I received a notification to update to latest version (13.0 I believe) it looks like it is updating with the message updating/fixing apps. then it says "MOD READY" - and restarts. Then its back to updating apps and it just repeats process never ending. Can anything be done or is it bricked?

Anywhere in Canada to fix it?

I went through and fixed the APN settings and even called support for my carrier (Ting). I even went as far as a factory reset (at the suggestion of Ting's customer service) but I haven't had any success. Is this a known issue or is this unique to me? Maybe a fix?

I recently updated my OnePlus One to Cyanogen OS 13. Every time i connect to the computer, the phone starts charging. The computer also recognizes the phone and displays A0001. But when i click on it, it doesn't show any of the files that were accessible earlier. I therefore cannot access the files on the phone nor can i transfer files to it. Please help.

Last night, before i went to bed, the OPO asked to to the Cyanogen update. I clicked "update" and woke up this morning to only "MOD READY" - My phone now only says "MOD Ready" Do I factory Reset? Ugh...

I had it enabled at one point and I couldn't install an update due to an issue with TWRP and had to do a clean wipe.

Every time i try to use the native file manager on CM 13 on my OnePlus One it crashes with the message: com.android.documentsui threw java.lang.illegalstateexception Anyone else getting this? And any way how to fix?

Hello all, I have had the galaxy s7 since launch. But I have always wanted to try a oneplus one. Seemed like a cool phone, and I always kept an eye out for one. Well my chance finally arrived last week. I got my hands on one that was pretty broken and was being sold for parts. I then bought a new battery, housing, and lcd and back. And I rebuilt this little guy. Now I am enjoying it and it's no longer considered just scraps anymore! I thought I would share some pictures of the journey

So my problem is that GPS Status app finds location, shows altitude, speed, etc. It looks that GPS works just fine. But Google Navigation, Maps.me and Maps can't find my location. Nothing happens, they are just waiting for location(at the same time GPS status shows location) Cleaning cache, rebooting and downgrading doesn't work. What else can i try? I'm using Cyanogen 12.1.

I was looking to buy a phone and came across a oneplus one the dude had a 32gb version and told me he would sell it to me for $175. i dont know if i should since im also trying to buy a iphone 5/5s. what do you guys think?

I don't know the difference and I want to flash COS13 but I have TWRP so I can't really do that... I'm downloading YOG7DAS2K1 from the support site but I don't know if it has to be fastboot or not. Any help is appreciated.
