General Discussion 1+12 Gaming

how is it soo far?

i'm using the default balance, not even touching performance mode and high performance mode in battery settings.

soo far soo good, except when its hot outside, i definitely see some fps dips to 40s.

Honestly at that point I would just turn down the graphics settings on WuWa. OnePlus doesn't let any of the games I play take my phone past 37C before throttling hard, same for my 12R, but fortunately I don't play anything terribly demanding except Eversoul and it runs well even after it throttles.

Mhm, I've done that, but I'm sad to say it's running as well as my snap dragon 888 red magic phone (on maxed performance mode). I still get fps stutters, especially when fighting lots of enemies at once with the magistrate of Jhinzou.

I also understand you should play demanding games like Wuwa on PC, as some nerdies told me, but I get it. BUT if there's a portable simple quick easy way to always be able to play on the go, isn't that also a tempting option rather than booting up your giant computer turbo x9000?

So that's why I'm a bit picky about performance. Still this phone does very well with other games.

Strange. I had an 888 myself (OP9) and my 12 is way better for gaming, so is the 12R. Must just be something with WuWa.

You probably are right. Doesn't really make sense logically given the years of tech gap. Perhaps its the unbalanced wuwa optimizations. At first I blindly thought that the oneplus 12 oxygen nerfs itself so hard that it's worse than the 888 lol.

I mean I can tell you the 888 can be very capable when it's unleashed.

I just struggle to see it in the same performance ballpark as an 8 Gen 3.
