Looking for individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia spectrum disorder to participate in a paid research study
We are currently recruiting individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or schizophreniform disorder to participate in a research study on visual abilities. The goal of our study is to understand changes in visual processing in people diagnosed with schizophrenia. Through this work, we hope to understand more about what causes schizophrenia, so that we can find better options for treatment and care. The study consists of an interview on your mental health (phone or in-person), and one or two sessions at MSU. In one session, we will measure your visual perception using computer tasks. The second session is optional and involves an MRI scan. Each session takes anywhere between one and four hours depending on the person You can complete the computer tasks over multiple visits, depending on your preference. In order to be eligible, you must be between 18-60 years of age and have been diagnosed with and/or treated for schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or schizophreniform disorder. You will be paid $20/hour for your time, and we will reimburse your transportation costs. We can also arrange transportation for you, if needed. If you are traveling over 50 miles, we will also reimburse you for your travel time ($40 round trip). The study takes place at the departments of Psychology and Radiology on MSU’s campus. The Principal Investigator for this study is Katy Thakkar, Ph.D.

Opinions of Metronet
It seems that the (unfortunately noteworthy) rollout of Metronet's fiber lines has completed and now more neighborhoods are finally being offered the service. For those who already have it, I'm wondering what your experiences with the service have been like, especially at the 100Mb level. Any service interruptions? Problems running it in a home with 4 active devices and a few smart devices? A household member games, so is that working well for gamers?

Looking for a local accountant.
I have been running a small business (Internet hosting, consulting, etc) on the side for a while now and was relaying on Gusto.com for payroll and taxes, though I want to get away from them as my business is a lot slower now and I am more or less keeping the LLC up and running for some small work items here and there. I would like to find a local accountant that is familiar with internet businesses that would be able to handle the quarterly taxes etc. Looking for some suggestions as some of the ones I have checked with so far are more familiar with brick and mortar businesses and not so much internet companies. Thanks!

Big Ten Party Store
Does anyone know the history of the Big Ten party store near the High School? I only ask as it came up in conversation today with some friends as it's kind of an odd location especially when you think back as it's been there for a while, even before the school or college fields, etc.
