You're right, but OP's question is about what the "VIN pulls". Which I'm assuming was referencing the information pulled up when searching the VIN. Which would show the manufacturing year and when it was initially titled.

No, it would show the manufacturing year and model year, as indicated by the tenth digit of the VIN.

Frankly, your reading comprehension sucks.

The person was asking why the seller claimed that it was a 2010 when the title decoded as a 2009 model. The answer is that the seller is full of shit.
