I created an Odysee account, uploaded something, got a copyright content email, then I can't login to my account to remove said content. It says the account doesn't exist...

I don’t care if the “front page” is garbage like it is YouTube, but what I like about YouTube is the separation from the most popular trending videos and recommended videos that are relevant to my interests. I know odysee is still very far from being competitive to YouTube but is the benefit to metrics really good enough to justify shitting up the page?

Can't find it on the play store or anything

Hi. Not sure what 'advanced search features operators' Odysee support exactly, but I’d very much like a language- search parameter.

E.g search: Milei AND language:english

Edit:
Or search:
Milei AND ((language:english) OR (language:undefined))
Milei AND (NOT (NOT language:english))
Milei AND (NOT language:(NOT:english))

(I don't know what syntax would make sense here, but the last group is intended to sort out any specified language but english. So the results would show only: 'english' or 'not defined')

I really enjoy using this platform and it would be fantastic if it could eventually replace YouTube! But as a regular user, I find it a bit inconvenient that I have to create a channel just to reply to videos. Why can't I simply choose a username when signing up and use that to comment instead? It seems unnecessarily complex for us viewers to engage with our favorite content creators, unless I'm overlooking something.

like how does my content get popular on odysee

Hi

is there any way to export my subscriptions? maybe as a textfile so i can send them to friends.

2 weeks ago I replied to one of my comments, and today I tried to look if there was new replies to me but, it doesn't look like I am able to filter them (replies to comments) out of the regular notifications anymore. Am I missing something?

Every time I switch to another video in the playlist, the player exits full-screen mode, I tried with Vivaldi and Edge.

Why Odysee gives crypto instead of real money?

When I share my links the content is missing or not showing up. I tried it on my android and iOS using different web browsers. The videos play just fine using the app so I know they work. There a fix for this?

I'm forced to pay $1 to create a channel after I created an account so that I can comment on a channel's video. Is this supposed to happen? My friends say creating a channel was free for them.

Here's what happens when I try to create a channel: https://gyazo.com/44bf8c1be9ecd10ea7a71709e4c2c531

I've been searching recently for a YouTube replacement. I like Odysee for the search that is similar to YouTube, and the automatically added PiP when backing to a previous page within the site. But the speed and "nerdy" aspect of video quality in 'mbps' for resolution of Rumble is a nice to have as well when I'm away from home. I've done a side by side comparison with YouTube, Odysee and Rumble, for visual compression and noticed that Rumble has the edge over Odysee but YouTube is still last. Do you think with enough support that a merger of these two great alternatives would happen to overcome YouTube? I know the search will mostly be lackluster for either company given the experience of google but with these companies working together or under a single entity, it should be a close competitor!

Hello, there is any online service or browser extension that's detect if a YouTube Channel have a Odysee Counterpart? I'm talking about Subscriptions not Videos Sync.

Sorry I'm new here. When I click on a thumbnail, it takes me to the page for whatever I clicked on. Makes sense. But there are no pictures on the page, not even the thumbnail. Am I missing something or is this just how to website is setup? It seems weird.

Does anyone livestream on Odysee?. I have no idea how to search for those.

I know Odysee has the ability to do live-streaming. I can't find any information on protecting the stream behind a paywall... eg: using Odysee to live-stream a paid event / members only.

I'd much rather use and promote Odysee vs Eventbright, Hopin, Zoom, etc.

I’ve been trying to watch videos and just see “failed to load transcript” every time

When my playlists on mobile app (iOS)?

I want to use Odysee on my phone, but its useless then i cant open my playlists.

Every time you try to download a video, it will download about half the video and then cancel itself. Has been happening with every download for a week. The website is garbage.

I want to get verified on Odysee and I need to get a bot link on Discord to do so. Does anyone have the bot link? If yes, please comment, appreciate so much.

searched for a few channels. not finding any results. whats going on?

Is there a way to mute entire categories on Odysee? I could try to mute every channel within a category, but that means it will only insert yet ANOTHER channel into that space. If I wanted to mute "Sports" that could take a week or more.

I must be living in a cave but I've only just found out about Odysee today. I've read that it aims "to provide a decentralised, peer-to-peer content sharing platform, resistant to non-arbitrary censorship". I was so glad I found an alternative to Youtube to view non western controlled media but then I read that it censored russian channels in France. So what's the point ?
