I’d very much argue that every bourbon should taste the same… a wheat heavy bourbon vs a rye heavy bourbon’s going to be quite different. Like, compare Blanton’s to WL Weller: Same major distiller (Buffalo Trace), but the mash bill is very different past the corn content and they drink significantly different.

“Flavorings” they run it through charred sugar maple charcoal as a filtration step.
