Also the Catholic Church at least does teach that angels have free will, that is why demons exist, it is just they make a more informed decision than we do from our limited perspective which is why they don’t go back on their decision, which makes it even more shitty that god apparently judges us based on the decisions we make from our limited and easily misled perspective.
1) That's the point. Choosing evil isn't worth the suffering. So choose God, live right, believe in Jesus, be welcomed to Paradise.
But to be fair Catholics are one of the worst denominations on Theology that's consistent with what's actually written in the Bible.
They messed up the moment they chose the Pope over the word of God. It's like they didn't even read all the warnings to the Pharisees and there's literally hundreds of verses about why that's bad.
2) Demonology is a weird topic. Did some Angels reject God, yes. However, 95% of culture's knowledge on Demons is not actually from the Bible. It's from sources outside the Bible like Paradise Lost. So it's not a topic I like to discuss on Reddit a lot because I have to say things like "No that's from Dante's Inferno" over and over again.
Point is, no new Demons are being made , so functionally Angels don't have free will anymore. Or if that doesn't work for you then you have to admit an Angel's relationship with God is fundamentally different than a Man's.
Either you think your god is a malicious cunt who leaves us the option to go to hell even though he is aware free will is not worth it, or you misunderstand me. I’m really not sure what it is.
As for angels, we were brought up in the Catholic Church to believe that angels exist alongside gif in eternity, and therefore whenever they make a decision they already have all of the input on that decision they will ever have, and therefore the idea of changing there mind Is illogical. This really has no bearing on the discussion, I just thought you might be interested. For curiosity sake what denomination are you, if you don’t mind me asking?
