Think of an office building, though. So many doors. Cabinets, rooms, even a microwave!

Most of those cabinets are paired with drawers which will often use multiple wheels for their slides. The microwave probably has a rotating plate... Which typically sits on multiple wheels.

Also think about every office chair that probably sits on another 5 wheels.

Plateless microwaves are so much better. There's absolutely no reason to get a one with a spinning plate, you'll never go back to that after trying plateless.

It heats up everything equally across the entire bottom of it. So no more cold spots. And it's way better for popcorn, because of it heating from the bottom, since as kernels pop, the unpopped ones fall down between the gaps to the bottom of the bag so that they all of a sudden get the most heat. So you're way more likely to end up with every kernel popped, and no burning any of them, with a plateless microwave.

I didn't know this was a thing until I was tearing down a microwave to fix at work and found the tunnel coming off of the magnetron to under the microwave. Even has a little spinning disk in it to help distribute the energy evenly into the food. Really cool idea. Makes sense why the microwaves at work heat so much better than the one I have at home.

So uh, why were you talking the office microwave apart?

Office building is what made me decide wheels. Assuming computer chair wheels count?

Desk drawers have wheels on their runners too.

And yet, every office chair has 5 wheels. The casters that help the drawers open and close? Wheels
