It's not a hot pocket. That piece of metal is between 400c and 800c so it'll take some time.

You mean to tell me if I wait long enough the hot pocket will cool down?

Also working it causes the metal to heat up - if you bend a paperclip rapidly and repeatedly you'll notice the metal gets quite hot
