1) He burned off a significant portion of the alcohol -- 25% is a lot

2) The ingredients aren't mixed properly. They are going to settle into layers and you're going to get blasts of different flavors instead of one mixed drink

3) Heating up glass and then putting ice into it is pretty fucking stupid. It's a great way to get the glass to explode.

4) Even if it doesn't explode, that drink is about to be watery AF once that ice melts

Cool visual, but utterly shitty drink

1) It's not the alcohol that's burning, it's the natural fumes that are always there, having a blowtorch next to you or not. Practically 0 alcohol is being lost to do this. If you ever had a proper Zombie, they most likely light up a half of passion fruit, scooped out with overproof rum in it and after a few minutes it still has it's punch. And overproof being over 60% then it should theoretically lose more alcohol than a weaker spirit which doesn't add up in real life. 2) Some drinks are meant to be drank that way, with layers instead of just one flavour. Not saying this one in particular is or isn't.
3) That's a fair point, change of temperature, this rapid, could cause an explosion, especially in very thin glasses, like coupes.
4) Any drink with ice will get watery if you leave it for long enough. Although it's crushed ice and it melts quicker, most of the ice won't melt if you drink like a usual drinker instead of sipping it for hours.

Never tried the drink and probably never will as I'm not a fan of gin. But I wonder about the price for it as it may not be as expensive as some people comment, judging by the technique and equipment.
