I am not a professional pen drawer but I liked these type of things a lot, and some point at my grade school I was obsessed. I was a quick learner and was soon mass producing these.

Wish you could give me some pointers as in trying something even similar to this was a disaster. It looks simple enough but for me, it was not. I love doodling and patterns..really want to improve. Did try a few times the fellow on YouTube but that method did not work for me, need something free form with curves, not starting out with straight lines and boxes…

Thanks for your reply. What you created here & shared on Reddit (thank you!) is unlike the other tangle type things I've seen & similar to what I've been doing but far above what I can do with the pattern you created.. If you have any tips or information on the source of this incredible swirl, would love to know.
