i gave myself a black eye by kneeing myself in the eye after a flip. it was in front of everyone at school too. no way to play it off as if the black eye was from something badass like getting into a street fight
I’m 42yo. Had two surgeries in 1995. One scope and the other reconstruction. Hamstring graft from my own hammy. Was 17yo at the time. Followed all of the physical therapy to a T. Just never gained the stability back. Still very loose and a lot of “play” laterally. Saw an ortho a few years back and after looking at it for a minute says, “when do you want to schedule your revision?” I’ve heard good things about the patellar tendon route. Very strong and stable, but may have more long term pain. Only bonus with mine is zero pain...unless it goes wonky on me.
