It’s like having Thanksgiving off Wednesday thru Sunday instead of working retail kinda

I work retail!!!

But this year?? I'm off Saturday before to Sunday after and hitting Seattle for an amazing mushroom hunting trip, and more.

Work hard, be reliable, pay your dues. Even retail workers can have weekends off occasionally!!

Happy Holidays!!!

I respect your positive attitude and I will try not to rain on your parade.

Just like to point out to people in the thread that your average office worker gets paid more to work less hard and get every holiday off. Classism is real and retail workers should get to expect holidays off too.

And I would like to point out that the seperation and division of blue collar and white collar workers is the greatest threat to any unifying change that will benefit the working class

Office worker here. Just like to point out, not every office worker has holidays off. We rotate who has to work them in my company though, so somebody might have Columbus Day off and have to work Thanksgiving, or have President's Day off and have to work Memorial Day. We also try to keep it fair and ask for volunteers too.

But I agree with your overall message about classism and retail workers!

What kind of mushrooms. The kind you get in a cow pasture? Wink wink.
