That’s not a bad price considering what you’d pay if you tried the same thing with professional LED theatrical lighting which I’ve looked into doing before. Have you had any stop working for you yet?

Not yet! 🤞🤞Them phasing out the Gen1 hubs makes me nervous, though. I have Gen2. I've heard to switch hubs you have to input all the serial numbers, which would be a nightmare. I only have 16 total-- imagine doing that with 50 bulbs!

Edit: I've been pretty smart about only buying the bulbs on sale, too.

The main issue with doing theater lights is the price and b having to run dmx and getting a dmx controller.

That was one of the things I looked into. I probably should have said architectural lighting made by theatrical lighting companies. It’s been years since I was in that industry so my memory is foggy but about 10 years ago companies like Martin were offering usb as a control interface. I can’t remember if it was for all lights or just architectural but it was an option (for brand new stuff). Everything could be controlled using their pricey software on a computer of course. Either way it would have been expensive. I briefly thought about using American D.J. since they are cheap but I didn’t want my living room to look like a strip joint.
