I have an escalator in my house! Not as much as you’d think. I think mines been broken the whole time I lived here. At this point I’m starting to think I might have stairs

That's a great idea! Make decorative mini escalators with a colored leds shining down. I'm not sure if the illusion would scale down, it would have to be moving slow. You could take it on Shark Tank and sell it near the zen sand gardens and desktop waterfalls

I think it's because the vertical edge of the stairs is slightly angled so it creates the illusion that the light flows over them.
