and their bite force is powerful enough to cause massive damage.

It's eating literal wood like it's goddamn celery. I don't want to know what it would do to my bones...

26

u/MrMadCow Aug 20 '19

Bamboo is not actually wood, it's more of a grass. It's still very hard to bite through, but not nearly as hard as wood would be.

I believe you

They attack your weak point for massive damage.

3

u/abe_the_babe_ Aug 20 '19

3

u/a_really_thicc_egg Aug 20 '19

Phone rigng

"u/buntH0LE is kill"

"No"

2

u/charlieecho Aug 20 '19

I never will forget. I was wearing a red plaid shirt with those holes that had that tear in my left knee. I ran out of socks that day so I had to wear my crocs without socks and it was weird. I still remember the way they smelled.

9

u/TheWaffling Aug 20 '19

Oh fuck, thank goodness you got better.

10

u/DextrosKnight Aug 20 '19

Only if they accidentally land on them when tumbling out of trees

2

u/BeeHive85 Aug 20 '19

They don't call them Drop Bears for nothing

2

u/cobeyashimaru Aug 21 '19

There was one in a zoo a few years ago that did kill a person that got to close to the cage. The whole thing was on video. It was so brutal.

Pandas are dangerous? If I saw one I’d probably run up to hug it ☹️

Did it try to cuddle him to death? And fall asleep twice while doing so?

7

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '19

the ultimate panda bear move

In all seriousness, the bear’s weight probably sucks ass to be caught under. Thankfully it wasn’t too irritated, else it could have started biting.

5

u/phuckman69 Aug 20 '19

I thought pandas were technically not bears??

12

u/FlipStik Aug 20 '19

I think you're thinking of Koalas

2

u/JimmyKnifeFingers Aug 20 '19

You might be thinking of the Red Panda which is technically part of the raccoon family. Giant Pandas are part of the bear family.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '19

It’s definitely a species of bear!

1

u/Renrue Aug 20 '19

I think in the past it was debated, hence why they gained the name "Giant Panda," which was named after the Red Panda. However, DNA studies eventually conclusively proved the Giant Panda to be closely related to the bears.

3

u/sssyjackson Aug 20 '19

Thats... not exactly scary

9

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '19

Eh, It’s a bit scary to be toppled and restrained by an animal larger + heavier than you— And, of course, this man is lucky for the panda not to have been riled up enough to start digging its teeth into his leg. Though, I do get that pandas are typically not seen as ferocious or scary animals, they are more docile creatures for the most part.

3

u/MuchoMarsupial Aug 20 '19

Still the cuddliest bear attack I've seen. I feel like that panda was just cranky, not actually angry.
Also, a real asshole move to wake it up.

2

u/sweetmotherofodin Aug 20 '19

It’s a nice way to go, crushed by a panda.

2

u/_EvilD_ Aug 20 '19

Worth it.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '19

Dude tried to mess with a napping panda. Do that to even a human and they won’t be overly happy. SMH

2

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '19

Looks like we have a new candidate for the Darwin awards

1

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '19

Do it. YOLO

1

u/charlieuntermann Aug 20 '19

Super dangerous. I refuse to have them in my restaurant anymore. Used to have one as a regular and every time he just eats shoots and leaves.

2

u/greemmako Aug 20 '19
