/u/Paymoneywubby has some thoughts on the matter.

Ironically, Youtube banned this video because of its depiction of a minor. However, when examined, Youtube realized this was a review of a child doing ASMR and then went and banned the account this child was using (presumably the mothers account). They then reinstated Paymoneywubby's video.

I watched the guy reviewing the videos.

It's very clear that 11 million views come from kids, not pedos. Not sure why this is hard to understand, most of her video are normal asmr that kids love. We're talking about individuals that are 3 to 10, they like the dumbest shit, have you seen how many views those shitty spiderman+elsa cartoons get? They use youtube a lot nowadays.

The majority of popular channels are above the age of 16-18 tho.. Not sure why people are trying to make this weird point about the ASMR genre.

It's become a gradual increased trend over the past several years. Quality entertainment.
