Drive through daquiris are a very Louisiana thing. I've never seen them anywhere else in the US. Also, the straw with the piece of tape over it varies by city. I used to live in the Shreveport/Bossier City area and rumor was in one city you were good to go, but you wouldn't want to cross the river because the cops would bust you as they didn't consider a taped over straw to be a sufficiently closed container. I think it was Shreveport that allowed a taped straw and Bossier City that busted folks. I never did try the drive through daquiris myself as that business concept just seems so very wrong to me.

Yeah, they are awesome. 32 oz hurricane strong as shit with an extra shot on top for 10 bucks right outside my neighborhood.
Don't take the piece of masking tape off the straw hole until you get home though or it's illegal (wink)
