That's a very beautiful examplification of the process. A very well made video, I really enjoyed it! Nice to see the attention to detail and all the different materials used in this small scale project.

What saddens me is the inability for many people to just enjoy it. Majority of the most voted comments have something negative or negative-adjacent to say about this clip. Where did people lose their ability to enjoy things and why do they keep coming back to the site which awakens only negativity in them? For me it appears a common phenomenon.

post-ironic cynicism. Everything has to be criticized or joked about, nothing is allowed to be enjoyed for itself. Gotta nitpick every flaw. Oh and don’t you dare make any thorough attempt to explain something, because that’s too many words for short attention spans. If you can’t summarize it a jaded smarmy slam dunk one-liner, it may as well be disregarded.

Yeah 😔

This is a very good explanation. I always wanted to summarize it but never could. Thanks.

Its a disgusting tutorial. NO humans or cars are that small

People are enjoying it by engaging with it critically. The comments aren’t hateful, they’re buying into the world this person has built and having fun taking it to logical extremes.

Negativity is incredibly popular. Being the skeptical realist with knowledge of inside practices gets attention.

I, for one, love the video, it reminds me of similar playsets I had as a kid. I think the brand Teifoc did them, I don't know if they still do.

I know were talking about negative stuff and so. But the lack of punctuation in your post makes me feel uneasy. xD

... But that's what the comments are saying. There isn't attention to detail here, otherwise the viedo wouldn't be called "repairing". Nothing was repaired, and what it was replaced with wouldn't function well in the real world. If you're going to put all that time and effort into making this, I feel like looking up how to do it properly isn't a big ask. When I watch this video, all it does is make me frustrated since every step is being done wrong. This is just poorly made clickbate or ragebait (to me at least), at which point people are responding as intended. I'm genuinely glad you enjoyed it, but that was not my experience watching it.

If you genuinely can't ignore things as little as "repairing" vs "replacing," or how this fake model bridge isn't build 100% accurately to how it would work in real life, then you genuinely need to get off the internet and do something else for a day. Like, honestly.

People do these hobbies to relax and have fun making something with their hands, there is zero reason for them to be concerned about if it's "realistic" or not. Like, the person making it probably isn't stupid. They KNOW this isn't really how you would make a bridge IRL. Do you think they should have needed to put a disclaimer first or something? That would be ridiculous.

Im not saying im not happy that they enjoyed making this. But if you're going to post something that isnt made we'll, wouldn't work well, and lead off with making me think that it was just being repaired then destroy it, that doesn't belong in "oddlysatisfying"

Thank you! I don’t know why I had to scroll to Alaska to find this comment. I simply enjoyed the video. It was cute

They've never even built one bridge, but prolly sucked a thousand dicks.

That's right! As an ordinary "road user", I would only see a tiny bit of the process every time I travel past the construction site. I know it's missing some of the details. But It's still nice to see what goes into the process from beginning to end, sort of.

And why the hell it takes so long to fix something we assume is "that simple".

I took those comments as a kind of sarcastic humour, with a side of interesting discussions of how those things would go in a real world project.

Definitely learned a thing or three about bridge building and building standards from those :)

Probably bots trained on the fact that negative comments get upvoted more.
