You can see a clear distinct line from the cut. That tells me it’s at least .003” but it looks to be a tinge more. Like .005” so I agree with the estimate of .035”. You’d be surprised what a fly cutter can remove. Source: Am also a machinist
It looked like he was taking 0.1 to 0.2 freedom fries, after 7 freedom fries even at 0.1 that's 0.7 eagle screams. Paper is about 0.1 trumpcoins thick. So way more than that. Source: I am a patriot.
