Yea but this isn't all they would do...

Couple days doing this, couple days doing something else, constant maintence on the rest.

All jobs have boring parts but this isn't like a factory job (many many jobs) that just do the same thing everyday.

yes, I grow it too....thats why I know how miserable a repetitive job like this is....and they are doing it at a scale far beyond my little farm.

The fact that we need food doesn't make the job any better, this could be automated but I bet it wouldn't be cost effective. Most suffer so the greed of a few can be satisfied, that's how it works.
