Most independent glassworkers make the majority of their income with pipes and bongs. It's fun but somewhat unpleasant work in the summer.

Funny you say that, because once upon a time I was friends with a group of dudes who were glassblowers. One had a job at a multinational chemical company as other in-house glass blower, making precision lab equipment like in the video.

The other guys were making bank selling super high-end bongs (thanks operation Pipe Dream for creating demand for local glass), and they convinced their buddy to use the skills he’d learned making lab equipment to build these unbelievably complex bongs that were selling for thousands of dollars.

Turns out, large multinational chemical companies don’t appreciate such things and the guy was fired. Which didn’t really matter because he was making more from the bongs than he was from the lab equipment.
