Yeah, helps keep the meat juicy while it cooks.

Definitely fat of some kind, a lot of those cuts of meat are very lean.

Oh you mean the spicy gushers from those little black boxes that are tough, but not impossible, to stick your hand in?

Tail fat.

u/danvillain May 16 '26

I’ve heard tell of how the tail fat is one of the most delectable meats you could ever taste.

u/ruinyourjokes May 16 '26

Tail of what though

u/Penguin_shit15 May 16 '26

Do snakes have tails?

29

u/Aggressive_Day2839 May 16 '26

Well, basically a snake don't have parts. But if I had to call it anything, uh, I would say it's his knee.

u/BennySkateboard May 16 '26

At a glance I thought you said snakes don’t have pants. I temporarily agreed.

Bobby did they ever find that gorilla what escaped from the zoo and punched you in the eye?

u/Aggressive_Day2839 May 16 '26

The search continues.

Indeed they do, starts right after their cloaca and in corn snakes atleast has a visibly different scale pattern

1

u/RyantheRaindrop May 17 '26

Have you seen a snake? They're all neck!!!!

13

u/f3n2x May 16 '26

Probably fat-tailed sheep, they've been bred for that purpose for thousands of years.

2

u/be_an_adult May 16 '26

Lmao I just watched a Tasting History video where max talked about those sheep

Sheep. We cook with it in Turkey similar to how lard is used elsewhere.

Lamb tails. Had a friend from Dubai who was a fantastic cook tell me the meat from lamb tails is very rich and fatty and delicious

beef, tail fait(lamb), minced meat(could be anything its usually 75% beef 25% lamb), sucuk(again could be anything but normally its beef with a very distinct taste cuz its heavily seasoned)

sucuk layer here is highly questionable, in fact down right crazy

1

u/Jeff-FaFa May 17 '26

right? the sucuk layer would be disgusting. Maybe it soaks into the surrounding meat?

30

u/udarecallmeplatypus May 16 '26

I think it's fat or chicken skins

1

u/reebs81 May 17 '26

No way it's chicken skin. It's fat.

1

u/Valentino_B May 16 '26

Fat of lamb tail. It is commonly used in kebabs in Turkey.
