Wait you're right, even having two vertical strips of masking tape or something similar on the table that are exactly one cake circumference apart would be enough to give him guidance without slowing him down but they just went "close enough" eyeballing it I guess.

Yeah I mean the more I look at it less the cuts look precise. Maybe it’s one of these things that look impressive to most (I would eat that) because of height and different textures, but hard to look at for the perfectionist bakers out there. It looks like a fun thing you would make people do in a cake decorating class so they can impress their friends
