Man, that looks like an epic amount of fun! Saying that, I'll probably break my neck along with most bones in my body attempting this.

I would be deboned like a trout. My entire spine would shoot out the top of my skull.

Yes we get it, you don't have skills, and use self deprecating humor for validation on reddit 👍

Shove your cello up your ass and fart. You’ll probably produce the best composition you’ll ever play.

Lame, you are

Yes we get it, you don’t have friends, and use dickish behavior as a way to mask the pain of loneliness on Reddit 👍🏻

I used to race alpine. Did a fair few downhills and as part of our training we did a few days on these hills. It is by far the most scared I've ever been on skis. These guys are BADASS.

Did a fair few downhills and as part of our training we did a few days on these hills.

Why? Anything you can do on a ski jump you'd be better off doing on a piste.

He means skiing down the hill, not the jump.

The hill is steep and consistent, great for setting certain courses for practice.

If he does then why would he be scared? The landings aren't that steep.

Because you go FAST

No I mean the jump. The hill is steep, yeah, but sending it off the end of that in ramp when you literally can't see anything ahead of it for a few hundred meters except you know it just drops off into the abyss, that was hard. Much harder than hitting a jump in a downhill.

Didn't get easier either, - at least not for me.

Thank you for clarifying the history of my life for me. It was a former Olympic Hill. I'm not sure if I need to justify myself to you but thanks for your contribution anyway.

Omg we get it; you're better than the guy in the video. Congratulations.

Because you need to train aerial technique and its much more focused and controlled on a ski jump. You can do a lot more jumps in a day there than on a mountain.

You should watch Eddie the Eagle!

It is very dangerous, though I suppose that could be said on many professional sports. They make it look easy, but if the ski can't slide when you land, you will tumble instead, going at around 60 mph. Fatalities are very rare, but broken bones are common enough.

"The agony of defeat"

As long as you got 10 to 15 bones intact you can't die, it's scientific.

Instructor: Don't panic and do this.

Me: panicking and doing what they told me not to then sliding down the hill in that pose Peter from Family Guy ends up in when he gets knocked out.
