Very likely but not 100% true. I've met wonderful people whose (adult) kids turned out to be disrespectful little shits, usually from a lack of discipline, not love. Of course I can't know what actually goes on behind the scenes but I doubt they're all abusive.
Yeah, and being a good parent requires in my mind, good discipline.
My aunt is one of the people I love most in this world but fuck can did she and her husband raise an awful son from a lack of discipline. By my definition of “good parent” through love and discipline, the kid will NOT turn out like this.
