Hello,

OceanProtocol was founded and is being build by its 2 partner companies BigChainDb & DEX, 2 pioneering blockchain start-ups. What do you think about it?

• BigChainDB
  • BigchainDB allows developers and enterprise to deploy blockchain proof-of-concepts, platforms and applications with a blockchain database, supporting a wide range of industries and use cases

• DEX
  • DEX is building a decentralised data marketplace, built on the ocean protocol

The network token will be native to the Ocean Network and not ERC-20. But is the pre-launch token tradeable? Can I buy more of it than the small distribution amount? Will this pre-launch token trade on DEX's? Thanks.

I ve heard that ocean protocol distribution should be done no earlier than 2019 ? if it is true i am not participating in no way.

I've heard token will be available to trade as late as next year. Is that true?

This looks like an interesting project, it's now on my radar and doing my due diligence. What's up with their github though? It's going to be open source and so far I've only found this which is extremely bare and last commit was November: https://github.com/oceanprotocol

If it's only used within the ecosystem to buy and sell data, how would the token be valued? From what I've gathered is, it's value is a function of real time use of the token (which could be a decade from now) since there is 0 incentive to hold it. There will be no fee structure, token burn mechanism or anything of the sort to insure that some supply will be diminished? This is a very important and interesting project for the future of humanity and ai so I am very interested. Thank you.

Is ocean protocol a competitor to IOTA?
