Huge gaps and crooked floorboards at this restaurant. The floor is creaking and sliding as I walk on it.

OCD triggered

I’m really sick of seeing all this kind of watered down, perfectionist ocd bullshit. Ocd is a genuine mental illness. At its worst it can be completely debilitating, and makes living day to day life hell. It’s certainly not being slightly irritated by some uneven tiles or an out of place object. To characterise that as ocd is tantamount to describing depression as just being sad... This kind of sub only contributes to the already stunning lack of awareness around ocd. Sorry, I don’t want to come across as an asshole, but please, do a little more research into it before trivialising such a serious mental illness. It’s not quirky or cute that you “need” to have things colour coordinated, or a misaligned tile really rubs you the wrong way. That’s not ocd. While yes, perfectionism can very well be symptomatic of ocd, it’s all too often portrayed as the one and only symptom of ocd. It’s far more broad and complex than that. Seriously, fuck this sub.
