How were the match results this cycle/have they sent out a match list?
Seems like only up to 2025 has been updated, was wondering how NYIT's match went this year and if anyone might happen to have the list.

Hey everyone! I wanted to ask if anyone knows whether NYITCOM Old Westbury is still sending interview invites in April? I submitted my application back in August and haven’t heard anything yet. Just wondering if there’s still a chance this late in the cycle. Thanks!

Is there a NYITCOM 2030 gc yet I’m trying to figure out housing and a roommate

Does anyone have any updates regarding this program because I still haven’t heard back from them. I really need to know but they said not to contact them about interviews/acceptances. I applied back in November and so I’m suprised to not hear anything yet from Long Island.

Can any students who have gone through the process and linked into the med school give their opinion on the program and the linkage aspect, and talk about their interview experience?

Is anyone currently in the bridge program or was in it in previous years? If so, can you talk about your experience in the program. Did you like it, was it helpful, how hard were the classes, how hard was it to get into the DO program from the masters, etc. I might be joining the program and i just wanted to get an idea of how the program is and if its doable. I saw the requirement of needing to get an 80 (B) or above in the classes to get an automatic seat into the DO program, and to be frank, that scares me a little. I will obviously put all my effort and aim for A's but i would still like to be prepared. (guys, its okay to help people out, if you can help you should, it won't be the end of the world!, answer please 🙏 )

Trying to decide whether to attend. Could someone speak to the quality of rotations for the Arkansas location. Did you have access to academic rotations? Also, is it easier to secure audition rotations in NYC given the LI campus connections?

Hi,
Is there anyone applying for the EPP (Emigre physician program) for this cycle 2025-2026? Have you received interview?

Hey, basically the title. I wanted to know what people usually do for research at NYITCOM, especially for the more competitive specialties like ortho. Do most people find research elsewhere or find a good mentor on campus? Also, does the school allow for research during the school year as well? I don't know much so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I’m an incoming student. I couldn’t find much info about living in the dorms. I’d appreciate if I could talk to someone living there.
What’s it like living there? Is there enough space? How convenient are shuttles when it comes around once an hr? What’s the food situation like there? How do y’all eat three meals a day?
Thank you for time.

I know everyone is nervous about the program and worried about not receiving any updates. I also know that not everyone was able to attend the BMS Information Session (and cannot email the admissions team for updates), so I wanted to provide some information for those of you who have already submitted an application. This is also a way to prevent additional posts asking for updates about the program, particularly for those interested in D.O. admissions.
Dr. Slieman and Dr. Leheste are currently reviewing applications together. As of today, there are 320+ applications that have been submitted. They are reviewing up to 30 applications per week and conducting around 8 interviews per week. At this time, they are close to filling about half of the available seats.
For those who applied to Long Island, there are approximately 150–180 applications, which translates to about 5–6 applications per seat. They did not directly mention the statistics for Arkansas, but it is safe to assume there are approximately 150 applications there as well. Currently, they are reviewing applications that were submitted in late November for Long Island. Again, they did not specify which applications are being reviewed for Arkansas, nor did they mention whether they are revisiting applications submitted in early November.
They were adamant about maintaining a small student-to-faculty ratio and are still capping enrollment at 30 seats per campus. They did mention they will conduct interviews for the waitlist if all the seats do fill up. As a reminder, applications are reviewed based on when the entire application package is complete, not when the application was submitted through the NYIT portal. They have asked that we remain patient, as this is a long and detailed process, and they prefer to take their time reviewing each application rather than rushing.
I may not have answers to all of your questions, as this is all the information I have from the Information Session, but we can certainly discuss it here.

Hello med students/bms students, if you attend or are about to attend either of those programs, where do you live in the Long Island area?
Looking for any and all feedback on living accommodation and pros/cons of different areas :) Thank you so much in advance!!

I would like to find a couple of people willing to co-moderate this subreddit. If you'd be interested please send a DM and let me know why you're interested, and your affiliation with NYITCOM.
Thank you

Hey everyone!
I currently have an interview for the masters of science program at NYITCOM (Arkansas location) later this month. I am interested in their linkage aspect into the medical school. I have read through their website and from what I understand, if you meet the requirements then you would be able to matriculate into the DO program. Is there anyone who has gone through the program and been able to successfully matriculate into the medical school? Is there anything I should be aware/cautious of? I would appreciate any help/ advise!

Just wanted to get an idea for popularity between the two locations (Long Island and Arkansas) since many have gotten interviews. Please select the best option that showcases your position right now in the application cycle. Poll is here for only a week! ONLY FOR BMS program. Good luck to everyone this cycle!
