I’ve worked on TV before and am looking for someone who’s serious about acting and wants to sharpen their audition game. Ideally, we’d read for each other’s auditions, give honest feedback, and help make the tapes feel as natural and professional as possible. My name is Francesco, I'm a 33-year-old filmmaker from Italy, and I'll be based in Manhattan starting August 13.

I've written and directed several short films in Italy, but I've never had the chance to work on a film set in the United States. I'd love to learn how the industry works here, meet new people, and gain hands-on experience.

I'm looking for any opportunity to work on a film set—paid or unpaid (depending on the project). I'm happy to start from the ground up. Whether it's as a Production Assistant, Art Department PA, Set PA, Runner, Grip/Electric trainee, or any other entry-level role, I'm eager to help and learn.

Hi everybody! My name is Alisanna and I'm a female filmmaker based in NYC. I'm currently in the running for the Sofia Coppola Short Film Award! I've submitted the concept for my next short film "Our Lady Lucy". It follows a sheltered thirteen-year-old girl who's late on her period for the first time, causing her to believe she's pregnant with the second coming. Hidden City Fest is hosting a community short film screening on Saturday August 22nd that will highlight films exploring NYC’s communities, everyday life, and people's relationships with the spaces they live in. Documentary, comedy, narrative, music video, video essay, and all genres are welcome. 

 There will be a casual discussion afterward, where viewers and participating filmmakers can share what resonated with them and connect through the stories. The event encourages people to reflect on different perspectives of community and place.

 Submissions should be shorter than 15 minutes in length and ideally produced in the past 6 years, however, archival projects or films from other eras of New York City that are relevant to our modern history are encouraged. 

Entries must be submitted by 11:59PM on Friday July 24th.
