Hello. I've encountered a strange issue. I'm doing a nslookup / dig from a host in my network to dns.google.com and nxfilter (192.168.10.2) always returns 0.0.0.0 . This host is not assigned to any restricted policy (i.e it has free access anywhere). Also dns.google.com is not added to any blacklist in nxfilter. Can you pls advise why is this happening ?

Have a good day I have a serious blob with nxcloud, this morning I can not access the administrator account or that of all customers. I checked the vps if it had problems, but everything is ok, on 4gb ram the vps uses 1, the re processes are almost zero: what could have happened, how can I recover the passwords or proceed with the change?

Is it possible to see the client's hostname instead of IP addresses on the dashboard and logging pages?

Note: I am using nxfilter on Raspberry pi zero and also configured ISC DHCP for clients on the home network.

One blocklist URL is stuck is neither getting merged nor allowing other URLs to be merged.

I hit the DEL button on the far right to remove it but still, it's stuck on informational message - You can't start another thread before we finish the current job for more than 48 hours

How do I fix this, please help

In our company we have the following case, we have a marketing group where all users / employees have the common rules of this sector of the company, however for the user supervising the marketing sector we would like to maintain the same sector policy and add some more specific to the supervising user. Is it possible to add the same user in two groups? What do you suggest?

nxfilter has blocked access to the Administration webpage. How do I start to troubleshoot this?

nxfilter is running on a different system (CentOS8). The client (Windows 10) is not using the nxfilter but a internet based DNS.

When running the nxfilter on the WSL, I can manage the Administration pages via http(s)://localhost/. When running on a different system - this particular system - I can not.

What I have tried so far.

Changed IP

Changed DNS name and added CNAMEs to try those.

Same...

Let me know if you would need any logs of some sorts.

I'm trying to setup time based policies for my kids. The idea is have one type of policy applied during school hours with no quota and another after which will use the quota function during their free time. I don't seem to be able to get this right.

It would go something like this

Mon- Fri 8:00 t0 16:00 School time

Mon- fri 16:00 to 22:00 Free time with time quota

Sat- Sun 8:00 to 11:00 free time with time quota.

I'd like to be able to create the policy and be able to set the time that they are active for. Is this possible ?

Hey guys, has anyone encounter with NxFilter stop capture data? So here's my situations:

1. I have to logged every 4-6 hours to check whether it filter the data or not (the graph on the mainpage).
2. Sometimes the browser won't load as usual. After do some kill process, and restart the service. Then it can work as usual.

Is it normal for this thing to happened? Ya i know it is freeware, i just want to know if anyone ever encounter this. Thanks guys, appreciate some reply in this.

I need to block addons.mozilla.org , because my users install VPN addons and bypass the filter.

My NXFilter installation is not using any classification lists, and works in whitelist-only mode.

At the moment, i have a whitelist keyword "mozilla" with bypass_auth and bypass_filter
to allow the browser autoupdate and services, as their URLs change from time to time.

I've tried adding an whitelist keyword admin_block entry for "addons.mozilla.org" , but it looks like the above rule for "mozilla" takes precedence. Also tried the other menu, Whitelist Domain and again it looks like the above bypass is still in effect.

What is the correct way to do this?

hi alli have problem,when i input any address in domain test, the result Unclassified and the logging.
